Title: Compost bin sale March 16th
Post by: RecycleMichael on March 15, 2011, 10:29:31 AM
This is a special sale for friends.

Garden Gourmet Compost bins for sale $40 each.

These are the same bins that sell in the garden catalogs and green websites for $90 plus shipping. They are a great design and made from recycled plastic.

The sale is from 4pm till 6pm at our old warehouse at 1st and Detroit. Cash and check only. You can buy more than one, but don't want to sell too many to one person.

These are a great deal. They cost us $44 and we are selling them for $40.

For more information on composting, go to our website...

Here's a picture of the bins and flyer for the event. They're great bins and the warehouse is on the way home for a lot of downtown workers. You can RSVP on facebook here (http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=156153197772613). The bins have lids that snap closed, so it keeps animals out, and there's a door at the bottom to remove the finished compost.

What are the dimensions on them?  I was trying to see if I should bring my truck or contract with Paul Tay to have him haul it behind his bike down the shoulder of the BA.

WHY did you have to go there?  Is that payback?

Either Paul Tay or a Yaris could handle these. When assembled, they're 2'x2'x3', but the box is 2'x2'x1'. They're pretty easy to load into any size car (I've even gotten an assembled one into my little Focus).

My hippy wife bought one last fall when they were on sale @ Broken Arrow Market.

RCM, if you're paying $44, you're paying too much.  There's what, like $5 worth of molded plastic in these things.

These have a really nice design. They work quick, have air holes in just the right spots, and are easy to harvest out of.

They also have a nice brochure, but our compost book is better.

Fifty cents of plastic, fifty thousand dollars worth of engineering to make a mold, and a five million dollar machine to mold it. And a buck twenty five for some worker to assemble the couple of pieces.
