I wanted to get ideas about AARP.
Does anybody on here have a membership ? Is it something you use ? and if so for what and is it worth joining ?
I have just started getting these membership letters wanting to sign me up. Yes I guess I am at their ripe ol recruiting age.
Thing is. I never had AAA my whole life, and I signed up about seven years ago and I have used them quite a bit.
So basicly I am saying, as I age. I have this weird feeling that I just may need all these memberships targeted at us seasoned adults. ie, colonial penn, AARP etc, etc.
Any help would be appreciated.
AAA is great for hotel/car rental discounts, even if thats solely what you use it for. My wives car has free ERS, towing, loaner car, but we got it just for the hotel discounts. 48 dollars for a yearly membership, paid for itself in 2 nights at a hotel in california. I know AARP has discounts on car rental as well, but other then that, not for sure what else it is used for.
AAA is great but AARP is way to liberal for me.
