Title: Can anyone recommend a reputable and affordable tax person
Post by: TUalum0982 on February 12, 2011, 11:14:48 AM
Sorry for the double post in the "other discussion" forum, mean to post here.

I have always used turbo tax to file our taxes.  However, this year, it says we owe the state about 1600 in income taxes.  We have never ever ever owed anywhere near that amount.  I have double checked all my numbers, deleting said file, and starting all over from scratch only to arrive at the same numbers.

Can anyone recommend a person who can sit down with us, answer our questions and do our taxes that wont empty out my bank account? I refuse to go to HR Block or Jackson Hewitt. Something about setting up shop in Walmart isnt appealing to me.

I found Roman tax service on 16th and memorial who advertises 59 flat rate.  Any reviews? www.Romantaxservices.com

Thanks in advance.

I have used Liberty Tax awhile back and was pleased. Make an appointment and go into an office.

Oh, "you sound a little like anarchist for wanting to keep more of your money." - Waterboy.

If you earn more than 250K and are trying to keep your money, then I would question your patriotism.

Well okay then. You're patriotic. Just be careful in choosing a tax preparer. I used a crappy one once and got myself audited.
