Title: Canada Dry?
Post by: Ed W on January 17, 2011, 08:23:43 PM
She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed likes Canada Dry ginger ale.  Until recently, Reasors carried it, but due to low demand they've dropped it.  They still have Schweppes and White Rock, but SWMBO doesn't like them.

I found 2 liter bottles at Walgreens, but no cans.  She doesn't drink it quickly, so the bottle goes flat.

Do any of you know where I can find cans or small bottles of this ginger ale?  It's a little thing, I know, but it keeps her happy.  And I'm all about keeping her happy!

It's been few months but we found some at WalMart.  Cans in a dispenser type box, 12 cans as I remember.

Try Food Pyramid. They have lots of odd stuff in cans.

Come to think of it, I've not seen CD ginger ale in cans since last year.  I do get 2L bottles at Reasors still as there's a cocktail FMC and I like with GA and gin.

See if she would consider some of the Jamaican or Asian styles one finds at Whole Paycheck Foods those are far better, though I understand her comfort with CD ginger ale.  That's what we all grew up with.

I stopped in Walgreens again for something else, but almost stumbled over a 12 pack of CD.  I was thinking of going to the other drug store just across the street, but this fortunate find made the trip unnecessary.

I hadn't thought of trying Whole Foods, but come to think of it, I could try some of the Mexican or Asian groceries.  SWMBO is fond of the Mexican Pepsi with real cane sugar rather than corn syrup.  I can't tell the difference.

Thanks for the help!

I have talked to my local Reasors in BA about different sodas and the manager said he could "special order" items.  Probably have to buy a couple cases (??) but I bet they would get it for you.  They seem to be very customer oriented.  Big reason I don't mind paying the extra 10%.
