Is it just me or does he resemble our President? Like a long-lost brother or what he looks like in the morning?

A little.  But it's still an amazing story.  I was a teeny bit skeptical when I first saw the video early in the week, but after his whirlwind tour of the morning shows and various other talk shows, he's very humble.  Almost self-effacing actually.

It's a great story though.

The next Susan Boyle?  Somehow I think he will drift back to the gutter and be a cautionary tale by year's end.  Personally, I'm more intrigued with bald Miss Delaware.

I met Miss Delaware 1969 when I was at U of D.  She was dating one of the guys in my dorm at the time. She was friendly as well as being pretty.

Yes, with the multiple felonies, the 9 kids out of wedlock, all brings a tear to my eye.

Let's leave Bob Barker out of this.

Yeah, because it's been proven that people can't change for the better...

Ok. I agree it is a story, great Im not to sure of.
I did radio broadcasting while I was in High School and tried it again in the early 90s.
It is a business of not a lot of money for local on air talent. It is a very fun job but hard to live on promotional items.
My problem with this flash in the pan good hearted story is this. If this gentleman was a regular joe trying to get any broadcasting job available i.e. sending out demo's resume's and just pounding the beat as any other talent. Finding employment would be a struggle as it is and was for me.
So all of the sudden the word "Homeless" make him a viable candidate for a Cleveland Cavaliers or NFL Films job ?
We are a Country of need for rags to riches stories and will look to try and find them anywere possible. A show like Extreme Makeover would not exist without the every week sob story. JMO.

If President Obama sounded like that, I'd vote for him!

I guess we can go back to ignoring the homeless situation now that this heart warming story about a man with 9 kids, rap sheet a mile long and a substance abuse problem has his 20th chance on getting life right. Yep, this fixes the problems facing the homeless. I do hope though that he does the right thing.

Cynical bastage ain't I...

Hoss,
He's been at it for how many years?  After 30 or 40, the odds of change are negligible.  As in, it ain't gonna happen.
Too bad.  As in too many instances, it is a tragic waste.

14:59 and counting. He was taken to the L.A. Police station after he was involved with his Daughter in a heated argument at the Hotel he is staying at around 9 P.M. Cali time.
Ahh the reunion with children you abandoned after fame has found you.
Could it have went any better ?

He's going to appear on Dr. Phil's show with his children doing an "intervention"  On the commercial I saw, he was talking to one of the girls telling her he'd buy her a Vuitton bag.  I guess that didn't go over well.  Poor guy, other's are making millions off his donkey in ad revenue right now.  I wonder how much he's making?

I figured one too many relapses, family drunk fights, arrests probably removed him from the twinkle in the 24 hour cycle rotation.
