QuoteThe claim that the health care overhaul bill reflects a "government takeover of healthcare" has won the "lie of the year" award from the fact-checking website Politifact.com

And how Obama's lie that he would roll back the Bush tax cuts on the "rich" didn't make it is astonishing. /sarc off.

What? You mean they're firing the key democrat lobbyists? Well at least they'll have 3 years of unemployment.

All fixed up. I can feel it.
How many trillion spent on medicare, medicaid, etc?
FDA. The va. Public hospitals. University hospitals.
The government has run healthcare for a very long time. It is inefficient, costly, and progressively lagging many countries on effectiveness (based on infant mortality, life span, survival rates, and other metrics). It is worth too much money to have meaningful change that benefits the public or government over industry.
Hey, enjoyig your lower insuarance rates after all the tort reform? Of course not, they just go up with no effect...

Didn't seem to do much for what Medicare pays out..

They're all super.
QuoteAfter two years of being pounded by Republicans with often false charges about the 2010 health care law, the Democrats were turning the tables.
PolitiFact debunked the Medicare charge in nine separate fact-checks rated False or Pants on Fire, most often in attacks leveled against Republican House members.
Now, PolitiFact has chosen the Democrats' claim as the 2011 Lie of the Year.
It's the third year in a row that a health care claim has won the dubious honor. In 2009, the winner was the Republicans' charge that the Democrats' health care plan included "death panels." In 2010, it was that the plan was a "government takeover of health care."

Health care is a right, not a product. I just want health care and education like our elected officials get....and retirement benefits like I pay for them!!!!

More hypocrisy on your part. Let's see, a zygote has the right to health care but not anyone else?
And a public education has been an accepted norm of our society for eons. Latches....

Accepted norm, but not a right.
Constitutionally-speaking neither health care nor a public education system are "rights".
People also have the
ability to think and act pro-actively on their healthcare instead of sitting in the Laz-E-Boy eating pork rind sandwiches and watching Jerry Springer re-runs.
I'm kind of surprised you are for the government being a willing accomplice in drugging up society with their friends in big pharma.
