A 27-year-old Tulsa man running the Route 66 half-marathon Sunday morning died after being taken from the route by ambulance.
The man's name had not been released Sunday afternoon at the request of his family, race organizers said. a
Route 66 Marathon Executive Director Chris Lieberman said the man collapsed just after 9:30 a.m. at about the 10-mile mark.
"He was immediately helped by a physician, who performed CPR," Lieberman said. "Other medical people who were participants in the marathon stopped to help as well. Our staff was on the scene within 2-3 minutes and the ambulance arrived within five minutes."

A woman at work said she was a couple of runners behind the man, and was upset that the police present not only didn't offer any aid, but ended up diverting the Fire Department first responders to another location.
Kudos to the local news agency who are publishing his name and photos despite yesterdays report that "name withheld at the request of the family"

Was he wearing Red White & Blue, Camo, Carring a Rifle or some other ignorant reason they dream up just to cause pain and sorrow for Family and Friends.
He was running in a Marathon. Whats the message they want to convey ?

Ever since they got their tires slashed a few weeks ago in McAlester, they've vowed a reign of terror on Oklahoma.
Apparently, they recently protested funerals of a couple of pre-teen Oklahoma girls in retaliation.
