I fear you may have missed the entire point of the rally.
EDIT: As TPM said so well: (http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/2010/10/yep_pretty_much_1.php?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+Talking-Points-Memo+(Talking+Points+Memo:+by+Joshua+Micah+Marshall))
"Somehow this seems about right. Red America shows up for a raucous, passionate, blunt rally on the mall. Blue America shows up for a tongue-n-cheek, ironic, humor-based rally on the mall with no explicit reference to an authoritarian, fear-based society but a comedian in character who makes the point indirectly."

What, "death to right wing extremists" was not the point? I mean, we all know how violent the tea baggers are and that their entire point is all about projecting racism.

Seek help. You obviously didn't read the sub-script underneath (which was quite tongue in cheek).
That's the whole point. You staunch neocons have no sense of humor when it comes to politics. Wow.

Nice try to backtrack
after I responded. And a sign with "NAMBLA" on it and wishing death to a group of people? That's freakin hilarious!!! And TPM is your safety net? Wow.

And and and . . . everything about your post is suspect or pathetic or both! Nyah nyah nyah!
Seriously. I was trying to clarify my thought, sorry if that coincided with your post. TPM, fwiw, is doing some of the best journalism today, so, yeah, I'm happy to cite them. If you could hold your nose long enough to wade through all the reasonable and commonsensical reporting, they had a great slideshow of some of the best signs of the day, some of which might have made even you, the coldest of the cold hearted conservatives on this board, chuckle in a bloodless, Cheneyesque manner.
As my quote from TPM states, the whole march was about tongue-in-cheekness, and that includes a little NAMBLA self-deprecation. Kind of a shame you missed out on the humor. What I saw of it was pretty funny.

Here are some interviews of folks that apparently missed the point of the event.
I love the woman responding to the Bush-Hitler mustache question

That's a show-stopper. Makes me proud I grew out of liberalism in college.
I'm glad Jon Stewart was able to pull a couple thousand people together so we could make this comparison between the two camps of "thought".

Wrong.
Colbert said the crowd estimate was '6 billion'.
;D
And here are some more signs for humor's sake. Which I'm sure most of you won't get.
