I saw on the news this morning that a drunk hit the fountain over night..
Is this known #4 or #5?
4 I think.
There's a big chunk missing out of the north-facing side. Is that damage from this incident? It's hard to tell with that POS fountain what's new and what's old.
There are tire marks on the curb that's inches from the fountain on the east side. There's probably visible car damage on every side. I'm sure many more people hit the curb and/or hit the fountain lightly enough to not cause major damage.
The fountain is a monument to all that was DTU.
In the way, never working, and not what was promised.

I was going to suggest getting rid of it. On second thought, keep it as a reminder of what not to do.
They just need to change the lettering from "Bartlett Square" to "Moron Magnet"
replace it with Titanium, that way it can cause even more damage to those who can't seem to see it.
New traffic circle idea?

They just boarded over the thing this afternoon with what looks like a deck. I figured it was something for mayfest and the guys said it was kind of, but was going to be a semi permanent thing.

I thought it was interesting that the name of the last person that drove over it was never made public record, like all the others previous.

Maybe the last name was Bartlett or Simonson

It's not specifically for Mayfest, but I think they wanted something over it until they fix it.
And by "fix it" I mean "is totally redesigned and rebuilt"

Actually... a local business leader with some sway is working on it. The only thing I've heard specifically is "bigger."

The fountain was undersized from the beginning. This time ring that thing with concrete bollards...
