I noticed that last night.  Smelled like a car fire.

I noticed it last night and wondered why it smelled of burning plastic. Once I satisfied myself it wasn't anything near my house, I lost interest.

Yep, same here on the east side.  I leave my empty 55 gallon trash bins on the porch during the week; though the heat was intense enough to leech out that burning plastic odor, so that's what I thought it was.

I hadn't noticed, but I was in Arkansas most of today so far.  Nothing quite like the smell of burning dump.

The landfill has been ordered closed.

"As a result of the fire that occurred at the North Tulsa Sanitary Landfill Wednesday, the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has issued an emergency order to the landfill to stop accepting waste. Under the order, the landfill must be in compliance with all applicable regulations, including those that may have contributed to the fire, before it can reopen.  The landfill will be in violation of this order if it continues to accept waste at this time.
DEQ has been at the site throughout the day conducting an inspection and providing technical assistance. DEQ has requested that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) assist with air quality monitoring.  EPA has advised DEQ that an airplane capable of monitoring air quality has been dispatched to begin such monitoring.  "

It seemed to be burning/smoldering when I went by today.
