The law will still go into effect tomorrow, but without the most controversial provisions, like having to carry documents and police being required to ask to see your papers.

"Activist" judge?
Hardly.

But it is humorous how that 'activist' name is thrown out there any time someone doesn't agree with a ruling. Come on, don't you have anything original?

Yep. Predictable.
Doesn't matter. It is still serving its intended purpose. Illegals are leaving AZ, and the federal government is deporting them (enforcing their own law) at a higher level. Remember, it started as a threat to the Obama administration, "if you won't, we will."
AZ's law was actually successful in increasing federal deportation by 10%. 400,000 people this fiscal year, nearly 10 percent above the Bush administration's 2008 total and 25 percent more than were deported in 2007, and it's continuing to increase. The pace of company audits has roughly quadrupled since the Bush regime.
The AZ law was a state saying "if you're not going to do your job, we are." It worked, the Obama administration has a renewed interest in enforcing immigration law and safeguarding the border. Jan Brewer deserves some serious credit for taking on, and changing the statuesque.
Change is possible when people stand up and say "Yes we can" change immigration policy.
President Obama also deserves some credit. Even though what comes out of his mouth is designed for PR, the actions of his administration behind the teleprompter, are working to curb the illegal immigration problem. They have a long way to go, but as long as this sector of his constituency doesn't catch on, we will likely see the surge in deportation continue.
B...Bu...But deportation is just mean. And it's racist.
I thought Al Gore was supposed to be the statuesque one?
