I know that many of you have been to this restaurant at 20th and Harvard. It is a combination of coneys and Greek food to satisfy the meat eater to the vegetable-arian.
I like his coneys, because his chili is just spicy enough and he drowns it in finely shredded cheese. My wife likes the spinach pie served on a bed of rice with green beans and greek salad (lettuce with chunks of feta cheese and olives). They have fresh baklava and your choice of French silk or coconut cream pie if you need a dessert.
The actual address is 1923 S. Harvard and the restaurant has been at that location for 42 years. We will get there around 11:45 and stay as long as the conversation stays lively or they throw us out. Parking is limited so because I plan to hang around a while, I will be polite and park a block away by the Pizza Hut.
Again, this place is very casual and you go through the line, order and pay before you sit down.
Who has a better review of the place and who thinks they can make it that day?
Gyros & rice...mmm. I've been a faithful customer there for 30 years.

Yee Ros and roll the tongue on the "r" if you want to sound Greek.
Year-os if you want to sound American
and
Juy Ros if you want to sound like an Okie ;)
I'll be there, especially since it my suggestion that we meet there next time.
I love their gyros platters, the rice and green beans in tomato sauce are great, I usually sub tabouli for the salad.

Me likey tabouli...
If it weren't a sit down someone take your order place, I would have suggested Shiskabob's on 31st/Garnett. I like their gyros. And just about everything else they make.

...and make sure the last syllable is pronounced very short and emphasis on the final 's'.
I dated a Greek girl in high school whose father previously owned a Greek restaurant before they moved here from NY. He made my first gyros at a dinner she invited me to. I expected to see plates breaking, but I guess that was only for the weddings.
I will get there about 11:30 tomorrow. I will be the guy eating coneys at a table.
One of my favs.....Squeeze Cheese only on the dogs for me....And a Gyro and Pita....heh...
It's on the calendar............

I like Shiskabob's too. Loved it when they had their lunch buffet.
They own the Pita Palace at 111th and Memorial and they have set up the lunch buffet there.
Here is their website...

shoot, I completely forgot about this. Sorry, got my son, and that is one train wreck that I will not force you guys to suffer.
I will try and be there as well, as it's a straight shot from work on the BA to Harvard.
I'm gonna pass on this one. I have lunch with a client.

Yeah, weird, right? Tulsa really IS the small town it advertises itself as.
And I really only go to Ted's for the superhot salsa. And if my boss is buying.

For some reason, the coneys have not tasted the same to me since Fay retired. I'll be there right at about 11:30fortyfiveishnoonish.
Great time with new friends. Thanks for having me guy's. Good to put a face with the names.
Nice to meet you Dolphin.
You should get back into radio with your smooth voice.
Great to see and meet everyone. Who would have thought Garth Brooks, Toby Keith, and Ronnie Dunn would have decided to have a lunch meeting there today of all days? I mean I know it's got its following and all. Glad to know they were such fans of TNF and Recycle Michael. RM, are you used to giving autographs to celebrities?
Those were their dinner checks. Those guys are slick and I ended up buying their coneys.

You guys missed Trish, she was in the GMC parked further up north on the lot. Guess Garth didn't want to take the chance...
;D
You guys also missed the fight that got started between Grizz and Toby. Grizz knocked Toby out with his super-sized iPhone...oh, wait a minute, that was an iPad, wasn' t it?

It was good to see everybody yesterday.
When and where is the next lunch?
Tuesday's work well for me.
Did I hear someone mention a Quik Trip for the next lunch place?
15th and Denver has tables outside and an eclectic clientele to keep us entertained.
You'll see power broker attorney's, hotties and urban outdoorsmen all mixed together.
