An incense blend known to simulate the effects of marijuana has been added to the ever-expanding list of Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substances in Oklahoma, effective Nov. 1.

So is there actually some detriment to health caused by this substance, or are we just protecting the liquor lobby?

I'm over 30 and began smoking pot at age 14 or so.  I quit smoking pot a many years ago, and have been sober ever since.  I recently obtained and smoked some of this legal  "incense".  I took 4 hits from a pipe.  It was much stronger than any marijuana I have ever smoked.  This dosn't mean it's dangerous or needs to be controlled.  But it is definately a something to be respected.

There are people that are afraid of the "unknown" that are prone to wanting to "control" their version of reality by infecting others with their own limited perspective because that makes them feel more justified in their own beliefs.  These people are ultimately misled in trying to shape the world to their own perspectice via force ("the law"), leading to inprisonment (the ultimate loss of freedom). I thought the loss of freedom was something we were tought to despise even in Elementary school.  Mabey i'm just misled...

You were misled.
This hasn't been a "free" country for a while.  There is always some clown out there who thinks they can tell you how to live your life better than you can tell yourself.  Hence, all the ignorant drug laws we have.

Drug laws in this country fall in the general category of repeating the same action while expecting different results.  Insanity.

I think salvia is also on those lists now.  A garden flower.
