We must ban them because someone could smoke them.
I dont know who would be stupid enough to smoke banana peels, but someone has, so we need to protect the children.
Im sure there is along list of things we need to ban because someone could smoke them (hint, hint)
and we know just who to give the list to...
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- State drug enforcement officials and educators say there is now a synthetic form of marijuana that may be able to avoid drug test detection.
The drug called K2 is a mixture of herbs and chemicals and is sold legally as incense, but it can also be smoked.
The director of the Oklahoma Outreach Sober School for students recovering from addiction says students have told her about the drug. Tina Barker says educators began noticing about a month ago some odd behavior from students.

I've heard the shops in Tulsa have stopped selling K2 because they've been getting harassed by the police and news stations. They still sell similar stuff (still legal)

Why not legalize the real thing and ban the fake? By banning the fake we're just enabling the drug peddler to add a new product to sell and he will, especially if he can price it cheaper than the real thing. And who may many of those customers be? Probably underaged looking kids.
