I got a small crack in my car's windshield in May and left it alone because it was unrepairable and it was stable.
However, the crack in recent days has begun to spread, so I thought I'd better get it fixed soon. Does anyone have a recommendation for a windshield repair shop that is reasonable, can work on an appointment basis or, better yet, make house calls?
Glass Doctor or Robinson's. You may have waited too long though if it's started to spread. The time to do it is as soon as possible after you get a "star" One of our work vans has a crack that spread over the last few days. I got a couple of stars on my truck windshield 8 or 9 years ago, had them filled quick as possible and they have never spread.

I would have brought it in for repair initially. However, the "star" was right at the spot where it was being covered up by my PikePass. Also, my rearview mirror is positioned right where I didn't notice the crack until it was about 6 inches long. Far too late by then.
I should have titled my post "Windshield replacement," in retrospect, since I knew that's what I'll have to do.
I have used Dixon's Auto Glass a few times. I went to their Archer and Peoria location last time, but they are in Sand Springs on 2nd street.
Hey Mike. Can you recycle the windshield ?
Just trying to be a smart(gl)a$$. ;D
We can't accept the windshield in our program. Bottle grade glass is different than windshield glass.
The windshield glass plant out in east Tulsa used some broken glass in their landscape gardens. You can see these in the gardens along their Garnett road entrance.

Probably rejects from the production line.
So is there anyone in midtown who repairs chips? I prefer not to drive all over creation to get minor work done.
