Anyone else see this performance?
I've heard something like that before.
Baucus channeling Gabby Johnson
I get no points for originality, saw this at DU.
Baucus is plowed, more f**ked up than Bernie Madoff's checkbook. Where's FOTD to talk down this man's disability/illness like he has so frequently about Rep. John Sullivan?

As drunk as Ulysses Grant during breaks in the action during the Civil War. Lincoln, upon being informed that Grant may be a drinker, told his aides that if it were true, send the other generals a case or two of whiskey.
In other words about Baucus, BFD. It's not like he's driving a forklift or anything. Time to move on to the trivial "controversy."

Translation: Behaving like a drunken a$$ on the floor of the U.S. Senate is a story when its a repub.
He's still more coherent than Sarah Palin ever has been in any of her speeches or interviews. ;)

Not really. Both our state senators act drunk on a daily basis...

No, you are right, Senator Baucus is driving something far more nebulous: healthcare reform. I'd be shitfaced too if I'd been told I was going to vote for this pile with slime on top and like it.
Yeah, it's okay to be drunk while on your Federal job that pays $174,000. Gee whiz, it's not like they are doing anything important in the Senate they need to be sober for. What was your reaction when you found out Rep. Sullivan had checked in to Betty Ford? What would it have been if it were Sens. Coburn or Inhofe?

Well well, another "I can't handle successful women" poster. What's the matter, taken off the teet too soon? As for being coherent, I guess you were all over this gem:
Which of the 57 states was that speech given? Certainly not in Kansas where 10,000 people were killed in a tornado:
or the home of the Nittaly Lions:

No, its the stupid, lying ones I 'can't handle' actually.
But I digress. You were making fun of the way someone talks?......carry on.

You should check out this website- it's pretty interesting and appears to be mostly non-partisan:
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/
I would tend to trust it a bit more than a badly edited youtube video.
And my favorite, the biggest whopper of 2009, was this baby:
"The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama's 'death panel' so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their 'level of productivity in society,' whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil." - Sarah Palin

It looks like the "lie of the year" award is founded upon the pontifications of editors at Politifact, an arm of the
St. Petersburg Times.

That maybe Sullivan now had an excuse for being a third-rate politician.
Although having known a few boozers in my time on Earth, I've always found that the terms "high-functioning" and "alcoholic" were hardly mutually exclusive. Given that, I wish Sullivan well, but detoxed or not, it's increasingly clear that he's simply not very good at what he does.
He's to Congress to what JaMarcus Russell is to NFL quarterbacks.

Actually, it does speak volumes. If you bothered to look at the website, you would see that it is co-written by the
St. Petersburg Times (6 time Pulitzer prize winner and largest daily paper in Florida) and
Congressional Quartery, the nation's premier provider of news and analysis on Congress, politics and public policy and is widely recognized as one of the most fair, balanced and nonpartisan news organizations in America.
So yes, I do trust them more.
Btw, I never disputed anything in your Obama youtube video. Some of it appears accurate, some of it is just petty and some of it remains to be seen. It's a campaign speech. Duh. Believe me, I'm still waiting to see if Obama will deliver on some of his promises. I do not believe the man is a saint.
What I do know: YouTube and Fox News are
not reliable news sources.

I did read the website, and stopped taking it seriously once I saw it citing Media Matters as if it were a legitimate news source.

You are hilarious and seem to have a selective memory. I initially never said anything one way or the other about the petty Obama video you posted. In response, I posted a site where you could check out in more detail the apparent 'lies' that it claims. We
were speaking about a certain lying woman I believe.......and then you switched gears. Remember??
Politifact uses many differing sources. Feel free to pick and choose the ones that suit your own purposes.
I am bored with you. You present nothing other than one side and are not interested in truth, only agenda.

No, we WERE talking about a drunken idiot rambling on the Senate floor and you thought it would be cute to take a shot at Sarah Palin. Look at the damned title of this thread for a reminder. Jeez, you're successful? At what?

I know this is slightly off topic and probably not very nice, but that photo reminds me of a trip my co-workers and I took to Legend's BBQ at 27th & Memorial when it was still there. The cashier lady had two black eyes. While in line, we quietly wondered to ourselves what happened. Our 'class clown' coworker spouted off...
"She doesn't listen".
This is also the same guy when we first met him, just matter-of -factly told us that he had stopped a sexual assault before. We asked how.
He said "I changed my mind"...
