Title: TMAPC now has better user interface
Post by: PonderInc on December 11, 2009, 03:29:55 PM
The TMAPC recently started using Google maps to help you find pending applications in Tulsa.  (The BOA started this about 6 months ago.) This makes it much easier to see what's coming to a neighborhood near you.  Nice job!  (And a good example of using technology to make it easier for citizens to participate in the planning process.)

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=114929336446038627829.0004742fb5f9cb3ebc86f&ll=36.160053,-95.877686&spn=0.53109,0.88028&z=10 (http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=114929336446038627829.0004742fb5f9cb3ebc86f&ll=36.160053,-95.877686&spn=0.53109,0.88028&z=10)

You can click on a push-pin to see more info...and then click on the link to see the actual application and supporting documentation.

Very simple... and much easier to find the information you need!

Hmm...I see an application for a CVS at Admiral and Sheridan.  I'm guessing in the old shopping center that was just razed there...

Now if they could just make readable scans of the drawings they put in their .PDF's.
It's nearly impossible to read many of them because either the resolution is set too low or the compression distorts the fine text.
