Title: Brookside Streetscaping
Post by: Nic Nac on November 15, 2009, 06:55:10 PM
The new trees along peoria from 36th to 33rd (or so) look great.  It is amazing how such a small change can have such a large effect (in my opinion).  Now if we could get the power lines buried!  Anyone know if this is in the plan?

It is in the Brookside Infill Plan. My understanding is that the City attempted to work with the utility companies to bury the lines when the street was torn up, but no dice.

Thank George Kaiser and Peter Walter for the new trees....A few others might have donated some as well....

I noticed the trees as well last week.  It is amazing what a few trees can do to improve a place.  I'm glad they finally got them in.  I appreciate those responsible for securing and planting them.

Trees are the answer!

It would be awesome to see the trees, lights and streetscaping extend all the way down Peoria south to I-44.
