Title: TW Headline of the Day
Post by: Wrinkle on October 26, 2009, 10:57:44 AM
Quote"The man convicted of murdering 13-year-old Cori Baker was formally sentenced to life with the possibility of parole on Monday."

Is that today, or next Monday?

I think was excludes next Monday or any Monday in the future.

depends on if you associate Monday with when he was sentenced or if you associate Monday with the possibility of parole. The sentence is not absolutely clear to the most casual sarcastic observer.

Wow, sounds like an historically short sentence if he's got "the possibility of parole on Monday."

Hmmm, so let's hope he goes in front of the pardon and parole board on a Tues, Weds, Thurs, or Fri. if we want him to stay locked up since he only appears to have that possibility on Mondays.  I suppose they don't hear cases on the weekends.
