The deadline to apply for the first round of Neighborhood Beautification Grants is October 16. All neighborhood and home owner's associations registered with the City of Tulsa prior to the September 10 grant announcement are eligible to apply for the grants as well as registered non-profit organizations. I read what is elligible but still not sure if it would be applicable to my neighborhood or not.  I'm wondering if the Lortondale Pool would be elligible?  We don't have common areas or entrance areas with signage or landscaping to maintain, but the pool is a vital part of our micro-community and is historically significant to the neighborhood.  There's several projects which need to be completed by next spring to bring it entirely up to code and to "beautify it" and there's no money as of now to do them.

I'd like to hear an interpretation on this.

Carlton Place has had some experience with this for his neighborhood.  Maybe he could be of assistance.

Good luck.
