Title: Best bar to watch NFL Sunday ticket in Tulsa?
Post by: mjcouvi on September 09, 2009, 04:13:47 PM
I will be traveling through Tulsa on Sunday and am looking for the best place to watch the Saints game. Preferably somewhere I can be assured of a good view of my game with audio.

Thanks for your help.

Indigo Joe's at 105th and Memorial should have your game.  They have numerous TVs through out and can provide you a speaker box if you would like to listen to the audio.

Thanks guys for the quick responses.  So I will be pretty sure of finding a spot with a good view of my game at Indigo's?  I won't be able to get there until about the time the game starts.  Does the personal speaker cost extra?

Another place that I have heard is good for NFL Sunday Ticket is Brook Restaurant and Bar.  Have you heard of it?  If so, how does it compare to Indigo Joe's?

Thanks again.  I am an obsessive Saints fan and am really worried about not having optimal viewing on Sunday.

It depends on what you want in a bar, where you are, and what you want to eat or drink. Since the game is on at noon here, I included that in my recommendations.

If you are out south and want great food. Go to SoCo's at 8161 S. Harvard. Nice big place with NFL ticket. Serves breakfast till 2 pm, claims to sell the biggest chili cheese dog in all of Tulsa and excellent sliders and wraps.

If you are on Brookside, I would go to Leon's at 3301 S. Peoria. Nice bar feel with $2 draws and $2 longnecks. They have excellent $9 pizzas and have the best selection of beer and wine of any local sports bar.

If you are on Cherry street, check out the White Owl at 1325 E. 15th Street. Neighborhhod bar with a few less TVs but they have the NFL ticket and will put a big screen on your game. They have a Sunday brunch, Mimosa specials and $5 pizzas all day.

If you are still in town that night, our Packer fan club tailgate party starts at 5pm at 71st and Trenton. We watch the games at Remington's bar inside the Southern Hills Marriott hotel. We always welcome visitors and offer fun.  http://www.tulsa-packerbackers.org/.

Thanks for the additional suggestions.  At which of these places will I have the best chance of having a great view of my game (I doubt Saints/Lions will be a popular game amongst other patrons) along with audio of my game?  Do any of them offer a personal speaker?  I don't want to be hearing other games or music.  Good food and inexpensive drinks aren't much of a concern to me.  I'm really just interested in being able to watch my game (preferably in high definition) without having to strain my neck or enduring any distractions.

I know I'm being picky.

Thanks again recyclemichael!

Oh, and it doesn't make a difference to me where in Tulsa the place is located.  I'll just be driving through and Tulsa is at the right place at the right time.

All these choices will have your game on and in high def. None of these places are busy on Sunday for the early games...don't worry.

Which Saint running back will have the better game, Reggie Bush or Pierre Thomas?

Surely, there's a Saints game watching club/bar, just like the Packer Backers.

Anyone heard of one?

Pierre Thomas may not play due to his knee, so I'd go with Bush having the better game.

I also thought there may be a chance that there is a bar where Saints fans gather.  Anyhow, thanks to you guys I have some good choices.  I appreciate it.
