"The Clorox Co., a former Beck advertiser, now says that "we do not want to be associated with inflammatory speech used by either liberal or conservative talk show hosts." The maker of bleach and household cleaners said in a statement that it has decided not to advertise on political talk shows."
That's a damn shame, we really need some bleach spread around on the uber liberal and uber conservatives about now ;)

COCO still feeds off those very dated Raygun slogans.
Conan. Understand you are getting older. Adjust. Today, uber liberals are Laruchites while uber conservatives are Busheviks.
Meanwhile, does this boycott hold? Does one of your media darlings get pitched?

I don't have any media darlings, though I used to think Katie Couric was pretty hot.

Used to? She still has great legs. Who'd you dump her for?

I mean, just look at the figure of the 22 oz. bottles.
edit: nice Pink Floyd bike jersey in the background. FYI, not my pic, just something I Googled.

Is this the best picture on the internet...
I think it makes the top 20
Trog, I think it might be. It even borders on "beer porn". Just look at those sweaty bottles... :P

And you accuse me of being off base....
Shameful! (but hawt) !
FWIW, I think I saw the Pink Floyd biker in Wichita Falls this weekend. Lots of old hippies riding bikes for 100+ miles. My favorite jersey, I did see a jersey that was the "Some Girls" album cover.
Beck the Schmeck... Fox repeatedly says it is unaffected by the boycott because advertisers are just moving to different Fox shows. Keeping Beck on the air is a de facto corporate endorsement of Beck's smears of the president, so why shouldn't the boycott be expanded to include the entire channel, 24/7?
Ad Boycott - And Audience Share - Grow in Wake of Glenn Beck's Racist Smear of President
Jon Ponder | Sep. 3, 2009
On Wednesday, 11 more companies — including Mercedes-Benz, Capital One, HSBC and Discover — announced they were joining the boycott of Glenn Beck's show on the Fox channel.
This brings the number of companies in the ad ban to nearly 60, according to James Rucker, executive director of ColorOfChange.org, the organization behind the sponsor protest.

Gwee, WOW! You citing KOS! There is hope!
The far right fringe of the republican party wins again.
This is a war, not a battle.
The piggies will get theirs in due time.

I lurk at all sorts of ideologue websites. The extreme left gets just as unhinged as those on the extreme right.

Why the softening?
Olbermann could make better arguments if he'd stop sounding like an over-the-top cartoon character...

Anything less seldom makes it on to the tube. Especially in politics. Unfortunately he's imitating what he complains about so much. But, who wants to hear someone whose middle of the road, logical and well adjusted?? Walter Chronkite is gone. So is the 60's.
Cronkite lives! The 60's need to return!
and the 70's?....
Incredible the influence this POS Beck has....
Now that the Kos is clear!:
Send Me Everything You Can Find About Glenn Beck

Updated: this posting has been visited lately by visitors who have kind of rushed through this and concluded I have decided, out of the blue, to collect "dirt" on Glenn Beck. I forgot I'd need to explain things slowly for them:
From the Washington Independent, linked below, after the jump:
Glenn Beck's Twitter feed has become a must-read. In a message from last night, Beck told his followers to "FIND EVERYTHING YOU CAN ON CASS SUNSTEIN, MARK LLOYD AND CAROL BROWNER."
I don't know why I've got this phrasing in my head, but: Find everything you can about Glenn Beck, Stu Burguiere, and Roger Ailes.
No, even now, I refuse to go all caps.
Keith Olbermann's diary :: ::
No, sending me links to the last two Countdowns with my own de-constructions of his biblical vision quality Communist/Fascist/Socialist/Zimbalist art at Rockefeller Center (where, curiously, he works, Comrade) doesn't count. Nor does sending me links to specious inappropriate point-underscoring prove-you're-innocent made-up rumors.
Tuesday we will expand this to the television audience and have a dedicated email address to accept leads, tips, contacts, on Beck, his radio producer Burguiere, and the chief of his tv enablers, Ailes (even though Ailes' power was desperately undercut when he failed to pull off his phony "truce" push).
This becomes necessary after this in order to prove various cliches about goose and gander, and to remind everybody to walk softly and carry a big popsicle, and most particularly to save this nation from the Oligarhy of The Stupid.
I keep wondering if somewhere somebody named Ollie Garhey thinks he's in charge now. Or, even more entertainingly and societally satisfying, if somebody named Ali Garhi does.
Despite the worn-out snark above, I am in earnest here."

Well, and if he weren't a partisan hack on the DNC payroll.
Really? Can you provide proof?
