I know this has been mentioned in other threads, but I wanted to start a new thread in particular to the opening (re-opening) of the Eclipse on 6th Street. I, for one, am glad to hear that this is happening. I went there many times as a youngster and I think its reopening will be another boost to the local music scene.
Does anyone know if it is open?
Does anyone know if their petition for a Variance at last night's City Board of Adjustment hearing was approved?

Not open yet. Was supposed to be open tonight for Mixtape, but we received a message letting us know that it was not ready.

Does Eclipse have and email list they are sending updates to? I can't find anything on the internet about them and they don't have a webpage I can find either.
So it is still a bar and live music venue? Is it still owned by Rahal? The reopening of the Eclipse could really jumpstart redevelopment plans for that rundown stretch of 6th.

The link I attached above to the variance application actually contains a lot of information. Scroll down to the letter from Martinson and Teegarten. It appears as yes, it will be a bar and live music venue and it will be called Eclipse Cultural House.

Not that I know of, but I am part of the Mixtape (a weekly, Wednesday dance party) distribution list.
Rahal still owns the property and Martinson and Teegarden are leasing it....best of luck to all three!
