The old Grandys, at 71st & Memorial, has been redone, there is a new sign with a cover over it that says, "guess whos coming to town"
does anyone know what that is going to be?
Apparently the local food scene is in the dark too:

I could search property records, but it is probably going to be lease and/or was bought by a shell company anyway.
the name of the place is probably Guess Who.
but now my curiosity is really peaked
This is pure speculation, but I hope its a White Castle.

That'd be great, but unfortunately not. I tried to get them to come here a while back, but they said "We have absolutely no interest in Oklahoma."
Kinda pissed me off.
Is this the place you are talking about? It is where "Up The Creek" used to be. I did not even get to try that place.

Maybe they changed their minds? Have you checked with them recently?
That building really wouldn't fit White Castle. Seems from the ones I've seen in KC or STL, they have their own purpose-built stores.
It's going to be "Fire Rock Grill and Bar" they are local here in Tulsa. It will open soon.

if they are local, the sign makes no sense
I don't get a good vibe about that location.
Call it Feng Shui or whatever.
Fire Rock???
More FAIL.
you're supposed to guess.
If it is "Fire Rock" and they are local, why would they be 'coming to town?'
My guess is Professor I.M. Stuffed's All-U-Can Eatery and Foodmagorium.
Catchy name, too.
Too many good restaurants in mid-town to drive out south to try a place that is marketing themselves with a "Guess who's coming to town?" and no one has ever heard of them

"Up the Creek" was a horrible name. "Fire Rock" doesn't sound much better. Is this location required to have a bad name?
Why not just call it LTO?

Lunar Topographic Orthophotomosaic?
Lunar orthophoto mosaic!?! Does such a thing exist? I'd love to see it. Seriously!

I'd love to help you tshane but all I did was google LTO and pick the coolest sounding listing. Not to bust myself but damned if I'd ever even heard those words put together.

You just did. You can see aerials of the moon here. (http://www.lpi.usra.edu/resources/mapcatalog/LTO/)

(unless you work for Subway, then it's Lettuce, Tomato, Onion.)
Don't think that Tulsa can't pull this off. You are in an ideal situation and it can't hurt to build something besides the BOK Center.
An 80,000-seat stadium could be the springboard for Oklahoma's first Major League football team or used by the University of Tulsa with Oklahoma State and Oklahoma playing some non-conference games. They (OU) agreed to meet Brigham Young University in Dallas.
There are a number of big businessmen in Tulsa and Oklahoma City who could pull this off.
An Olympic Village to house athletes could be converted into quality housing. You have a great river in the Arkansas.
Dream on Tulsa, you can pull this off!
There are a number of facilities in Oklahoma City-Norman-Edmond which could be used for some events; however, the spotlight and main events would be in Tulsa.
Now is the time, don't think small; think big. You are a beautiful and clean city--one of the best in North America, so don't think that this is such a far-fetched pipedream--you've got to start somewhere.
I don't think you can fit 80,000 seats inside of a modified closed Grandy's. Or did you click the wrong thread?

We have a massive Lilliputian population.

Wow, +1 for the literary reference.
Has this place closed yet?

Such optimism!
Just figured they could cut their losses by closing before they open. That's the dead side of that intersection.
