We tried to go to Kilkenny tonight and saw signs on the front doors indicating that the place is closed due to unforeseen circumstances and may reopen next week. Anyone know what's going on?
Ya have to pay your taxes......

Doesn't seem very unforseen, then does it. I guess there's no Kilmacow Benny for me this morning.
Yikes, that would be a huge loss for Cherry Street. The IRS shut down two of my favorite Campus Corner restaurants in Norman recently and both have yet to reopen..
Not the IRS.....Able Commission....
happened a year or so ago as well... forgot to get the liquor license renewed...
It was bumpin' on Friday night.
If it is a liquor license:
Forgetting to get your liquor license renewed is simply inexcusable bad business. It should be highlighted, starred, and bolded on your colander. I'm an unorganized mess very often, but when I was running a company I had all proper reports and the due date on a calendar. You'd think license to do business would be an important one.

im not sure this time, last time they kept the food going but just did not serve booze for two days... this seems far more ominous...
Glad I read the forum. I was kidding about missing my Kilmacow Benny when I posted yesterday. Then Mom called around noon and wanted to know if I wanted to go to Kilikenny's for brunch, I had to give her the bad news. One of her favorite places. I hope they get it all straightened out.

Two of the Corner's best restaurants IMO: Pepe Delgado's and Turquoise Cafe. It appears Pepe's will reopen in Turquoise's location on Asp and the old Pepe's spot will go up for lease. No word on what will happen, if anything, to Turquoise Cafe..

This might be a pretty good idea as long as you do not serve pasta.

Nice catch. I had to re-read five times before it clicked.
By highlighting it on your colander you'd remember it every time you used it (damn spelling police).
Kilkenny's reopens today at 4.

Wonderful. Any ABLE restrictions or all licenses re-instated?
We drove by at lunch today and there was a paper sign, all I could read was: "...blah, blah, blah will be open...blah, blah blah, couldn't read all the fine print sitting in the truck.
Hopefully this time they'll pay a wee bit more attention to their books.
