Title: For those old timer Tulsa Now Posters that remember JDB
Post by: LisaPeace on July 29, 2009, 02:51:51 PM
Hi everyone,
I haven't posted in ages....I wound up relocating to Las Vegas about two years ago.  At any rate, I have remained in contact with Dave, a.k.a. "jdb" from here on Tulsa Now.  Some of you may know that he sold his downtown building (near 3rd and Kenosha) a few years back and set out on his Harley to travel around the states.

Apparently, he had surgery on July 1st for his ulnar nerve in Phoenix, and due to complications from the surgery, he passed away.  He was 47.  According to his wishes, he was cremated and his ashes scattered near where his grandfather's were.

He was a very good friend to me and my son Jordan, and I know that he added a great deal to the conversations on this forum for a very long time.  I just thought I should let you guys know.

Take care of yourselves,
Lisa

Sorry to hear that.  I wondered what ever happened to him.  I thought I saw him one time on his scooter at 21st & Harvard, a Softail with the tag: "JDB".  Figured that had to be him.  RIP JDB.

Wondered what happened to him.  He posted every day for a long while then disappeared.  I recall his defense of motorcycles in several threads.   So I'm glad to hear he got to head out on his bike for his last hurrah.  But I'm sorry to hear it turned out to be his last.

Thanks for the update.

Dave did some work for me at the house. He designed and built a rock and cement patio area for me in the backyard.

After we got done with work each day, (me at the office and him moving rocks), we would, while drinking beers, talk about life, gambling, politics, etc.

Good bye Dave.

I had wondered where he went as well. It's hard to imagine a procedure like that could have complications so severe.

RIP JDB

RIP JDB

Pulmonary embolism or anethesia-related death is not unheard of on simple procedures.

Tulsa certainly misses him.  Had no idea that was him on the forum.  I'm scared to find out who else I know IRL that I am completely clueless about on the forum.

That's terrible news. Dave was a good guy. I chatted him up several times when I would bump into him around town. He was way too young to pass away. Glad he got the chance to ride and see the countryside again.

RIP
