Well it's official.
According to him, Paul Tay will be Tulsa's next Mayor.
Bicycle antic's coming soon.

Damn it, Swake!!!! There went my weekend, and my breakfast!
Say what you want, but the guy at least knows how to make me chuckle:

$115. Or the dog shirt for $170.
My wife asked me the other day "who that guy is that rides around on the bike dressed like Santa?" I told him that was Tay and she replied "Yeah, he rode by this afternoon dressed as a woman. I think it was supposed to be a woman." I asked her if he was seeking petition signatures and she said no.
But Tay, damn it, I'll sign. If there is a candidate worth a damn I won't be voting for you, but if you are willing to put forth the effort to get on the ballot I'm happy to see you on it. But please, no more driving while Asian jokes.
In Seattle they have a solstice festival where hundreds of bikers ride the city streets wearing only body paint...

I don't know if he has a chance. I saw him interviewed last night and he did all right. But he makes the election fun. This city badly needs a sense of humor and some fun. I truly believe we would run Will Rogers out of town if he were around today.

Nah. Will's country-boy accent and self-deprecation would still endear. People'd still love him.
Will at least had the sense to stay off busy highways with an inflatable p*nis.

Most of the time.
Despite all the consternation at his appearance and his habit of riding alongside the Broken Arrow Expressway, Paul Tay generally stays within the law while riding his bike. Yes, he revels in confrontation and he's amused by the talk radio coverage of his antics. And he's enjoying every minute of seeing motorists and law enforcement about to blow a gasket while he skirts the very edges of the law.
And despite all that, Paul Tay can have some insightful, cogent things to say about Tulsa, it's governance, and the state of our roadways.
He's still a butt-head. That's not a crime. If he had more money, we'd enshrine him as a colorful local eccentric. But absent the cash, he's just another whack job.
Whatever happened to Virginia Jenner, by the way?

"Generally" is a big caveat. That could mean that other 10 percent of the time, he goes completely apesh*t.
For Tay, that is plausible.

The image generated by this comment made me chuckle.
I used to work with Paul Tay and he is a good guy but he is not your average joe. He really thinks he can win every time he runs. I have some good stories about him. LOL

If it were, Chris Medlock would be serving a life sentence.

When he ran for mayor the last time, he got about 800 votes.
I posted this on another subject about candidate filing but I heard that Tay and Councilor Gomez are supporting each other because of their mutual love of bicycling.
