See, I came here to give you props for AGAIN being spot on with your concert rumor. But then you drop something like this again. Consistently when you have said this the shows have sold well. Eventually you will appear right and a show won't sell well.

Yeah, I doubt I'll be able to justify the cost of those tickets once the scalpers get them.
Scalpers are just the working poor trying to earn a living. The economy has destroyed all the poor people and the evil credit companies have seized all their assets. Thus, surely, the scalpers are without the means to make the investment on tickets that will cost $100+ each.
Right?

You know, there is an advantage to having every credit card under the sun. It seems one of them always has a preferred seating deal or a presale ahead of the usual BOk Center presale.
I used the pre-sale when I got my DMB/ Willie tix.

How is it there are tickets already on stubhub when they haven't gone on sale yet?
Presales are such BS (unless of course I get in on it). ::)

I have never bought concert tickets on-line before. Is stub hub reliable? Also, pardon my ignorance, but what is an Amex "presale"?

you're kidding and if not nothing that comes from any of your posts is believable. We already had suspected just that.
do not count on the exact seat in a pre sale. read the fine print.....

Most likely some broker is presuming they can get those seats for less than what they are charging and don't actually have them yet.
The entire concert ticketing thing is BS. At most venues, almost all of the really good seats go to various promotions long before anybody gets a crack at buying, presale or no.
If you're going alone the best chance for a good seat is last minute after the seats reserved for promos and whatnot that don't end up being used get released.

A period of time when Amex cardmembers can purchase tickets prior to the official on sale date.

Pretty astounding prices, but considering WHO it is, I'd say justified.
Odds of getting one of those charity $60 tickets at face value?
Got in on the presale - section 305. Good, cheap seats. Interesting that they were supposed to be $59.50 but confirmation shows we were charged only $56.50 each.
So excited for this show! This will be the first concert at the BOK for me.
I got row N section 325.. Figure it might be nicer to be closer than farther away but at the front.
Tickets went like hot cakes..
108 Row P is the best available tickets for the presale now

Did you get charged $56.50 or $59.50?
Its $56.50 the $3 is a facility charge which I believe is included in the $13 "convenience" fee they put on the end of each ticket. Don't worry.. You didn't get a deal we just paid 23% of the ticket price in fees.
Gotcha. Just over $70 a ticket after all the BS fees.
See you guys there (assuming Obama does not take my tickets away and give them to a UAW worker).
Is the seat on the left side of each section seat # 1?

There are already 846 tickets on stubhub and 190 on ebay...
If anybody needs some in section 325 let me know.

Yes, if you look at each section from the event floor. From the concourse it would be on the right.
???
OK, so say you're in section 305 with seat numbers 6 - 13...which is closest to center?

Might depend where in 305. That section, like all, tapers from the bottom up. So you might be further right it row A, but in the center in row T.
Got my ticket confirmation at 10:02 this morning. Section 307, Row D. So excited. :)
25 days! WOO HOO!
Yeah yeah yeah
Thirteen more days!
I'm getting questions from people who are coming from out of town for this concert. They are asking about places to eat and drink downtown. Other than the usual suspects (El Guapo, McNellies, Yo Momma's, Spaghetti Warehouse etc.) what are the best suggestions?
I'm going to post this question on the event board as well.
Thanks!
Know anybody with the special sound check tickets?
One week!
2 days!
Well, it's a hard days night and the BOK put up some more ducats....looks like it did not quite sell out.
Should be a classic.

Was out having wings and beer with some of the guys from the crew last night. Seems he is a pretty good guy, with the exception of torturing his crew by forcing them to be vegitarians while on tour (hense why they were sneaking off for wings). Hope all you folks have fun tonight.
It's Paul McCartney Day in Oklahoma!

Paul McCartney, who will be in Tulsa as part of the BOK Center's one-year anniversary, will receive an official proclamation from Governor Brad Henry declaring August 17 as Sir Paul McCartney Day in the state of Oklahoma.
"Whereas, Paul McCartney is a genuine living legend, among the most successful recording artists in history of popular music, as his enormous contributions to music through The Beatles, Wings and his solo career have been justly celebrated worldwide" is stated in an excerpt of the proclamation.

Definitely up there in my book. Great tributes to Linda, John and George (surprisingly no shout outs to Heather Mills). The guy is truly an unbelievable entertainer who still has the instrumental and vocal chops.
Note to guy sitting near me that apparently took a bath in Polo, no one was impressed.
I went alone and I didn't even care! It was beyond incredible. So glad that I got the opportunity to see him. Amazing show. His drummer rocks.

My wife loved that guy. To say he was animated is an understatement.
Will have the sound check list soon.....50 people partook....was quite the night. They got the vegetarian dinner too.
Those blonde babes along the front row rounded up by Paul's management were treated well....
Again, this show will be hard to top.

Maybe it was your old spice you were smelling?
Added Note* I went to Red Robin and was at the bar. I could smell the guy 4 bar stools down's cologne. How do I know it was him? He was the only one sitting at the bar besides the 2 I was with. He must have dumped a whole bottle on.

What's really funny about the above is that my wife, who was sitting on the other side of me even farther from that guy, thought it was me that was stinking up the joint with that cologne.

Such an awesome concert!
This was my 4th Paul McCartney concert since 2002. The first one - May, 2002 at Reunion Arena in Dallas - was very emotional because I had never seen him perform live before. Other than that, this was the best concert of the four. I thought the audience was exceptional. And Paul really seemed to have a good time.
Way to go, Tulsa!
