Title: Another GOPer moralist preacher caught diddling the help.
Post by: joiei on June 17, 2009, 04:42:51 PM
Old story, new names.  What is it with the Republicans?  They preach the sanctity of marriage and then have back room assignations with the help discrediting any and every moral standard that they have just harranged anyone who does not practice their form of politics about.  According to Ensign's espoused standards, he needs to resign from his congressional seat today.  He has been outed with his own hipocracy.   http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090617/ap_on_go_co/us_ensign_affair (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090617/ap_on_go_co/us_ensign_affair)

Eh, no matter what position they hold or the level of faith someone may have, everyone poops and covets what they don't have.

Wow! "Sooprise Sooprise Sooprise" GOMER

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/06/19/AR2009061902327.html?referrer=facebook

"Fox, meanwhile, was left with its own explaining to do yesterday after it was revealed that the network passed on the chance to publicize the allegations about Ensign's affair." Unfair and unbalanced....

"The unethical behavior and immoral choice of Senator Ensign has been confronted by me and others on a number of occasions over this past year," Hampton wrote. "In fact one of the confrontations took place in February 2008 at his home in Washington DC with a group of his peers. One of the attendee's [sic] was Senator  Tom Coburn from Oklahoma as well as several other men who are close to the Senator. Senator Ensign's conduct and relentless pursuit of my wife led to our dismissal in April of 2008. I would like to say he stopped his heinous conduct and pursuit upon our leaving, but that was not the case and his actions did not subside until August of 2008."

Coburn is among those living in a group house with Ensign on Capitol Hill."

"The letter also captures the anger of Ensign's former aide and friend, who says the senator's actions "have ruined our lives and careers and left my family in shambles."

Ruining lives seems to be a GOP priority......too many deviants portraying holier than thou politics.

So does that mean adultery is just fine if you are a Democrat?

My opinion is it isn't fine if you're anyone, but can't you see the hypocrisy here?  Mark Foley was one of the most vehement callers-out of sex criminals, but look what he did.

Most that happen that get the biggest blowback are the ones who are claiming to be all-sanctimonious.  Wasn't it just last year that John Edwards was put through the ringer for this as well?  He's a democrat.

This is school-yard stuff and petty.

Marc Foley could have been outed months before by either GOP or DIM leadership who all knew.  Instead,  Democratic leadership who were aware of his affinity for male pages doing the right thing to protect them, they sat on it until it was politically timely to try and tip the scales on the '06 mid-term.  Turns out they didn't need that "scandal".

It all depends if the dim is out saying how holy and pure he is and how he acts to control American's moral direction.

Schoolyard and petty to be acting with partisan mock horror on a community forum about this.  Homewrecking is very wrong.  Now go back to partying with Ted Haggard.

No more partying for Haggard.  His church "fixed" him.

Conan hasn't tried to push the Republican Party as the morality police or the moral authority.  So as such I see how this is petty and not worth while.  Nobody is really surprised or cares about this, other than to throw it back in the people's faces that try to use the government to legislate a certain subsets morality on everybody else.  That being said, Edwards affair has to be the worst one.  But we can let this thread die now.

Let the thread die. But the devilish post earlier concerning Faux Newz ( "Fox, meanwhile, was left with its own explaining to do yesterday after it was revealed that the network passed on the chance to publicize the allegations about Ensign's affair." Unfair and unbalanced....)  lead story indicates their manipulation of what's going on in the world. That is a far worse shenanigan than adultery between two people. Faux Newz affects millions.

I do not believe many people think that Fox news isn't a Republican front company.

Dunno.  Where is the Democratic version of Ken Starr to investigate this immoral behavior?  Details.  I want all the gory details.

Kinda.....

An anti-abortion Ohio legislator's embarrassing night out: Connie Schultz

http://www.cleveland.com/schultz/index.ssf/2011/07/an_anti-abortion_ohio_legislat.html

"Unfortunately for Mecklenborg, he is an elected official who has hinged his political ambitions on making the private lives of women his business. Questions loom."

What's it like to post in a thread with one of your deceased screen names?
