Earmarks are now chump change.

Drastic emergent bailouts were brought to us by unregulated republican leadership.

Gwee, you are the queen of out of context manipulation. Legal slasher.

Having seen Dean on Bill Maher's show a couple of weeks ago, I can safely say that believing something because you heard it on a talking head format show is the pinnacle of gullibility.

From what he was saying at much greater length there, he feels essentially the same way I do. Unfettered capitalism leads to bad results on many levels. Capitalism with regulation to curb its excesses, on the other hand, is the best economic engine we have to drive ourselves forward.

Of course, I have no idea why I'm even bothering to post this. After all, the point of this thread is to satisfy the need for the three minutes' hate, not to advance discussion on a factual basis.

But it is so much easier to rant and bust a blood vessel when you only know the half truth.

This guy Lewis was foisting up a bunch of stale, baseless talk radio dung about how the economy will magically bail itself out and everyone with it if we'll just cut taxes on the rich or whatever.

And Dean, quite rightly, pointed out that Americans do want to see some regulation and oversight of these unfettered capital markets.
