I have seen that some of the posters on here have added local ad catch phrases on their posts.
I was wondering if I could pick the greatest mind's of Tulsa to respond to this topic with the Local Ad catch phrases that you can remember new or old. I will start with our's.
"Graves Satellite, We want to do your dishes"
Ya gotta gotta gotta gotta get on down here (weird swinging arm visual) to four day furniture sales.

"weeeeeeeeeeee waaaaaaaaaaaaaaant youuur dollarzzzzzzzz""Tuls'a head-keeper"

Don't forget their new ad:
Tu Sucks! Waaaaaa!!!!! Waaaaaa!!!! We had to move to a building 10x larger and easier to find WAaaaa!!! Waaaaa!!!
Well as mjchamplin pointed out. They spent a lot of $ advertising their location which people remember. I have no idea where the new one is but I could have repeated the commercials they had to you. So all the money they used to get people to remember where they were is gone. Just because it is a bigger location doesn't mean it is better.

They still advertise just as much (at least on KMOD) but 3 years after they moved, half of their airtime is still dedicated to whining about the move. If they were worried about people finding them, they would be spending that time talking about their new location (BA Expwy and Harvard)

That's part of the reason that I haven't visited their new location...
Hijack!
Starship is at roughly 13th and Lewis, just North of the BA. Having said that, I've only been to the new location once. It's completely unlike the old location, it as no character. It's just a big open space with stuff in it. The only thing I liked about Starship in the first place was how old and worn it felt.
On the other hand,
"We're right on the corner and right on the price, snooooows fuuuurnituuure (snows furniture)."

Which brings us to the only Local Yo Momma Joke.
Yo Momma's Like Snows furniture.
Right on the corner and right on the price.
Here's one I used to torment my parents with:
"You'll pay Lessa in Owassaaaa!"
And remember:
Turnpike Ford Subaru I-44 and the river TULSA! (it had a bouncing singalong ball)
and one that always annoyed the he#$ outta me:
"Price Mart....PriceSMart!" with finger emphasis
edit:sorry for crappy grammar laptop comma key is sticking! :-[

I though it was "Turnpike Ford..Subaru..Turner Tollgate..Tulsa." I used to watch KTUL regularly back when I lived in Fort Smith as a kid.
Home of the copper dome.
Dad'll do it.
Right on the corner and right on the price.
Everybody needs a little sunshine, dont cha think.
Ugh, You need em tires.
There is so much more. Help me out guy's.
These may not all be correct....
"Learn From Ern, He'll Wheel You A Deal"
"Cathey's, 8th to 9th on Main"
"Come on down or Kent will whop you upsid the head with a tar tool"
"Ramsey Chevrolet is Little Detroit"
I was driving down south yesterday and saw a sign that caught my eye.
At first glance, my brain registered: "Sushi and Furniture" which totally captured my imagination.
As it turns out, a few letters had dropped off the sign, which was actually for Sunshine Furniture. (Sunshi e Furniture.) My brain ignored the "n" and automatically translated the "e" as "and."
Haven't had this much fun since the neon on the old carpet store on 15th started to fail and the sign read: "Oklahoma's Largest Carp." Soon after, it advertised: "Oklahoma's Largest Car."
I wanted to see both of those attractions! Alas...
Anybody else cringe when you remember:
"Ugh! You Need Um Tires!"
Oh, the times, they are a changin...
i just gotta say, i am so glad i found this post. i moved from oklahoma just a few months ago but grew up in tulsa. a little bit ago, a jingle popped into my head "turnpike ford, subaru, turner tollgate tulsa" i wanted to know if i had the words right, so i just typed it into google and i got this thread! pretty fantastic: )
i also remember:
Sher(win? wood?) Windows, our quality shines through!
Furniture Factory Outlet (usually "furniture" or ''factory" will be mangled by Earl and his wife will apologetically apologize)
. . . at Cleartone (ding!)
aw, i kinda miss tulsa : (

"we'll make a believer out of you!"
I really hate that one, though.
Also, why is there an apostrophe in the subject? It makes no sense at all.

most people do not go there for music
"Elmers BBQ...it be bad"
Or Wilson's
You don't need no teeth to eat our beef.
Does Diamond Jacks still sell the t-shirts with the slogan "Nobody Beats Our Meat"?

Unless you know how to download a bong or pipe (please let me know hoe it's done), I bet the head shop is doing just fine.
And if you ever go in there and see the music counter, they are still selling plenty of CDs.
