Does anyone know if the city offers any kind of incentive for getting a project LEED certified or any kind of tax rebate for purchasing EnergyStar appliances/electronics for your home or business? If Mayor Taylor is really serious about making Tulsa more sustainable then targeting buildings is an important step. I know the state and federal govts. are now requiring their new buildings to be at least LEED Silver. What are your thoughts on expanding LEED and sustainable design/construction in Tulsa?
You could call Matt Means with Landmark Resources. He is building LEED Gold homes in Tulsa.
We are designing them, but I don't know about rebates.
Southern Living magazine is going to feature him in an upcoming issue that should give Tulsa some good LEED exposure.
