Title: Downtown Development as brought to you by MS Paint
Post by: sgrizzle on March 06, 2009, 01:32:19 PM
I hear all the time from people who still think nothing is happening downtown, so I present this map. Keep in mind how much construction is going on on any other square mile in Tulsa.

I just went downtown today and was walking around.  It was nice to see the different contstruction projects actually moving along like the Mayo Building.  I didnt know that was actually going to happen lol. Renovation of the Mayo Hotel was also plugging away nicely.

I was in town the weekend before last for the Ryan Adams show at the Brady and downtown seemed quite lively.  There was a hockey game and the concert and I actually had to circle a few blocks before deciding to use the parking garage in order to grab a pre-show drink at SoChey!  It was a pleasant surprise.

We're building a ballpark?

Come on RM, you can't leave us hanging like this!

I fear the new development is New and Improved Surface Parking.

I walked by the space to the south of Joe Momma's the other day and it looked like something was going on. Are there plans for that space?

Michael... what more can you tell us?  Any idea when it will be made public?  You are building this up to be something "special".   Is it?

What scale at least?  Are we talking multiple blocks of redo or something more focused?

I've heard of a couple possible single block redos and one multi-block re-do planned as well as smaller stuff like the space south of Joe Mommas.
