From the Edmond Sun Newspaper October 2008 regarding Conn's Appliance Store expansion.
"Future expansion plans include a new store opening in Oklahoma City before Thanksgiving and possibly more later on in the Tulsa, Moore and Norman areas."
Has anyone heard if Conn's has picked locations in the Tulsa area yet?
Are you serious???
Doesn't sound like great timing to me, maybe the folks at Conn's haven't heard big box stores are struggling.
Yeah, they have opened up around OKC and say sales are doing tremendous.
I would shop at one up here.
Conn's a new one of me...Might be some confusion with Hahn Appliances..hmm don't know..but hey OK based company instead of the big corporate big box stores, thats a good thing...
Conn's Appliances has leased 50,000 square feet at Mingo Marketplace in Tulsa, OK. The 186,851-square-foot shopping center is located at 10111-10303 E. 71st St. in the South Central Tulsa Retail submarket. It was built in 1992 on 35 acres and is home to Best Buy, JC Penney Home Furnishing and Petsmart.
There is also talk about opening on on Admiral & Memorial. They have been in talks with the landlord for a couple months now. The shopping center with the Pep Boys.

Taking into account all the pluses and minuses - from traffic flow degradation, to tax revenue vs cost to get that revenue, to water runoff requirements, that whole field would probably been better off left as the horse pasture place where family members used to board horses.
Need one at Tulsa Hills. :)
