Title: Get The Rats Out
Post by: BKDotCom on March 02, 2009, 01:21:02 PM
How much does a directional system like this (//%22http://www.holosonics.com/%22) cost?

Those "protesters" downtown have stayed past their welcome...   Some nifty "only they get to listen to it" audio system just might be a good experiment here.  I'm thinking I'd beam audio books in their direction.

I'm tired of those "Shame on XXX" banners with "Labor Dispute" written in the corners. I'm planning on making a banner that says "Shame on pickles" with "Condiment Dispute" in the corners.

I never tire of saying it:

When a union hires non-union people for cash with no benefits to protest the use of non-union labor, it's just laughable.  How do you use non-union labor to complain that others are using non-union labor?  Is it too expensive to get your union guys out to protest?

Also, they aren't RATS.  They are just workers.  Non-union workers in a union shop is a rat.  Clearly it isn't a union shop.

It isn't a labor dispute.  It is a contractor dispute.  The owner hired a contractor who subed out to a not union subcontractor.   Not really a labor dispute.

Hell, they don't even have a labor relation with any of the people they are protesting as far as I can tell.  IBC bank, TU, and Mayo didn't hire the union guys.  Just go around protesting anyone who doesn't hire union carpenters?  I assume they are too busy to protest themselves, so they must be too busy for my business.

This thread should illustrate just how inane and bafflingly widespread these protests are:
