Title: My sister
Post by: HoneySuckle on January 12, 2009, 01:46:05 PM
As some of you know, my sister had been battling Stage IV colon cancer since January 2006.  She passed away in Heidelberg on December 16th.  She was a fighter and gave it all she could, coming close to dying in August 2007.

RIP Jacqueleyn.

I'm was glad to hear your previous reports that she was able to lengthen the amount of time she was able to enjoy life.  Thank you for sharing your story with us as it unfolded.  I offer my condolences for whatever they may be worth.

HoneySuckle

With deepest sympathy.

I lost my dear sister to cancer in 1980.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts.  Even though we knew she would pass away one day, it still came as a shock. Funny how we humans are.

Cancer also took the life of my daughter's classmate.  He had cancer of the brain and fought for almost two years.  He died on the 19th in Tulsa.

Hometown, you know the feeling.  My mother also has cancer, so my doctors want me to have more tests this year.

My condolences as well. Renal cell cancer took my dad (age 62) exactly two years ago today, GBM took my uncle (age 54) 15 months ago, and neuroblastoma took the life of the 8 year old daughter of a high school friend 18 months ago.

So sorry for you and your loved ones.  She fought the good fight.  I had a relative who fought it for 7 years.

Thinking of you.
