Of course the issue is for the governor and citizens of NY to decide, but if Caroline Kennedy gets the seat, I can't help but think it was only on name value and some perverted power of the Kennedy "aristocracy."
There was a rather harsh article yesterday in the NY Post about Kennedy's "you know, you know, you know" Senate chances. Apparently, "you know," she is like, "you know," not capable of sounding, "you know," intelligent when speaking. It also made very clear that she had zero experience or qualifications for this job (or nearly any other).
At one point it quoted her as saying she did not "feel entitled" to the position, but when asked to explain her qualifications she was basically at a loss.
"Teddy, I want it!"
I think she has it. Patterson doesn't dare go against the Kennedy clan.
