Title: Buy Local - Christmas from QuikTrip
Post by: RecycleMichael on December 24, 2008, 03:24:36 PM
You really can do all your shopping on Christmas Eve at Quik Trip.

I got beer for my friends, lottery scratch tickets for the mother-in-law, and playing cards, dice, candy plus a couple of movies for the kids. I got gift cards for the teenage nephews (who never have gas money), an ice scraper, a knit hat and gloves, candy and chocolate for the wife and some magazines and ice cream for girls at the office. I got my mother an road atlas and my father some jumper cables.

Christmas morning I am frying bacon and eggs plus adding toast and cold milk for breakfast.
I even got some fresh cookies for Santa.

Best of all, I got everything done in about a half hour.

Sadly, as of about 9PM tonight, it seemed there weren't a lot of people taking your advice. They were all at Walgreen's.

Personally, I was there picking up photos. I was very glad there was only one other person doing the same. There were something like 40 people in the checkout lines at the front.

It's the first time I've ever seen the parking lot full there. (I'm talking about the one at 91st & Sheridan)

Tell ya what- I wish we had QT stores in Ohio. When you get used to them and don't have them you miss them. I see alot of people bashing QT stores on these forums.[:O]

I love Quik-Trip.

It is the most "convenient" convenient store I have ever used.

The employees are helpful and FAST!!!

I don't even think of stopping at other gas stations.

Their prices are also great for drinks and snacks. Their hot food is great and the kids love that stuff. They also have a great selection of fountain drinks and coffees.

Exactly- and no matter how busy they are the service is fast. They are good stores. With the QT pump activate card you can pump first and pay afters. The stores are always neat & clean and they all have free water and tire air. Here in Ohio many stations charge for tire air (75 cents) and service is slow. QT is all-right by me.[^][}:)]

not to mention they started selling gift cards to other stores as well, like Chili's and Bass Pro just to name a few.  They are by the movies and magazines they sell.
