Title: Where to eat in Tahlequah?
Post by: dayzella on December 18, 2008, 10:21:49 AM
I bet this isn't the right forum for this question - oh, well.

Is there anywhere to eat in Tahlequah that is at least mildly memorable for positive reasons?

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner - it's all open.  It doesn't need to be fancy, but it does need to be a clean place with good to great food.

Thanks (hopefully) for the help.

Maybe not THAT memorable, but I remember a Mexican place (on Downing I think) that had good food and 2 dolla margaritas on Mondays.

The Boom-A-Rang Diner on Muskogee Avenue right across from the Cherokee Capital.

It's a little storefront cafe with an inexpensive menu. Breakfast is good, but lunch can get crowded.

If you get out of town a few miles to the north, try the Cookson Smokehouse. They have a chicken fried steak the size of children, or a small woman.
