On another thread, interest has been piqued for a gathering of some sort in some south Tulsa location. Could be lunch, could be happy hour. As advertised, the first $50 in food & drinks is on me.
How bout some place in Brookside? Or if thats too far south, how bout the Uptown area?
I vote for happy hour. My best night is Wednesday. Would Wednesday, the 17th of December work for you?
I'll go in with you if we spend the money on appetizers. Make everybody buy their own drinks...

I believe the original offer was based on 61st St. Last time I looked, 61st and Peoria didn't look like Brookside to me.
Lunch at the Sushi train? 51st? That South Tulsa? I dunno.
double post. Louie's at 101st. I heard it was a pretty good sports bar. But Indigo Joe's sounds good too. Easy to get there. An evening happy hour is all I could make.
I vote for a Happy Hour!
How 'bout Paddy's Irish Pub @ 81st & Memorial? I haven't been there for years....opinions?

My forefathers fought in a war so I wouldn't have to eat British food.
I will drink their beer however.

I believe Rick's Cafe Americain is now the Dusty Dawg. The sushi Train is just parked.
I vote Cosmos or Louies.
Rick's has moved to Ranch Acres where St. Michael's Alley used to be.

He knew...he just wanted to post something negative. He's not reached his quota and the day's almost half over.
Why don't we just let Inteller make the decision then we can know where not to show up.
I'm in as long as its not so far that I have to pack a lunch or stop to refuel.

Ok, i suggest Charlie's Chicken at 111th and Memorial.
That is the worst Charlie's Chicken.
They don't have the corn dodgers as a side item like all the other Charlie's Chickens

Must be a mid-towner if 'Brookside' is considered 'South Tulsa' or 'too far south.'
Someone is going to have to throw down and name a place. I prefer lunch to happy hour as I can not afford a DUI and happy hour. No chain restaurants either please.

The Brook, 91st/Memorial. The drunks can go to the bar, the lunch crowd can go to the dining area.
This way you can just take 169 and hop off at memorial.
OK, cool, we know where Inteller's going where's everyone else meeting?
I think we have enough ideas, let's vote:
Louie's
Cosmos
The Brook (91st & Memorial)
Oliveto (although it's kinda small, I don't want to be an idiot any longer)
Paddy's Irish Pub
I'll also throw in:
Andales (margaritas and puffy tacos)
Mexicalis (margaritas and queso)
Fuji (since someone mentioned sushi)
Santinos
I am good for all except the sushi place. I have seen my dog eat a lot of things, but he won't eat raw fish. I trust his judgement on this matter.
Is it lunch or happy hour? I'm in for happy hour...but can't make it out south and back on my lunch hour.
It appears that the majority of those interested are pushing for happy hour--so let's go that route.
As for El Tequila, that's on the list now.
Anyone suggested SoCo's yet? I mean if you're going to meet in SoCo you might as well meet at SoCo's.
They have great happy hour specials.
I think it needs to be someplace with alcohol AND food.
Louies (sports bar/grill)
Cosmos (bar/coffee shop/deli/grill)
Brooke (bar/grill)
El Tequila (bar/mexican)
Santinos (bar/italian)
DQ:
Mexicali (voted against)
Fuji (voted against)
Andales (not south of 61st)
I dont know a thing about any of those so will have to rely on the judgment of others. If any of those are locally owned, would prefer to go to those versus a chain.
Do any of these restaurants have an online menu?
All things being equal, I like to do business with companies that have good websites.

El Tequila ha theirs in the phone book. Now that's classy.[:P]
Since this is a South Tulsa edition, why not let our host(s) decide? Guido, Inteller...we rely upon your wisdom. Democracy takes too long.
Perhaps we should have a meeting to draw up plans on how to go about picking a restaurant? We can form a committee to do research on the best way to go about picking out restaurants. Then have them report back to us. We can then vote on the plan and then figure out how to implement it. But this might cost money so we will need contributions. Just send me the contributions I will set up a non profit account to put them in. Hmmm, actually I think we need to choose officers first so they can then choose who will be on the committee. Might as well do this right ya know. [8D]
Whoever started this mess in the first place...
JUST PICK A DANGED RESTAURANT ALREADY! zeesh
I think we need a pre-tasting to really decide.
why cant SoCo's get their act together? They need to take a glimpse at Fox&Hound and learn something...anything from them over there. I was in So Co last night....empty...M T !
The mens bathroom was approaching 1/2 an inch deep in foul water coming up from a floor drain.
Food is below par too imo.
I have been in there 3-4 times each time something is "off" whith this place.
good luck to 'em.
You can take Paddy's off the list they closed about 6 months ago.
I am a midtowner, and I doubt I would be able to make it South, as I haven't been able to make any gatherings close by:), but I would suggest the White Lion.

good. one less smoking place in town. if they hadn't spent all that money on separate ventilation they might still be around.
So Inteller, where are we going?
Isn't it ironic. The people who most often complain about the descisions others make, can't even decide on a restaurant lol.
Sorry about not getting back sooner. If inteller and I are going to choose, then Inteller, I suggest Louies. I will get a date together as soon as I can get at my office calender. Oh, and the person that recommended White Lion, excellent suggestion. But it can be awfully smoky in there (at least it used too).
Louie's is a great choice. I like their club sandwich and little skinny french fries.
I hope I can make it.

I don't believe they allow smoking there anymore. Or at least I've never been there and found it smoky. Cozy, sure, but not smoky.
So what's happening with this? Did I miss it? Was it too difficult to make a decision and it died?

Has not happened yet. I think the holidays got us redirected. Who's up for Louie's in about two weeks?
As long as its after work I'm up for it. I am really interested in meeting some of the South Tulsa contingent. My impression of meeting folks from this forum is that they're a lot more friendly and personable when you meet them in person.
It seems my memory for who made what slur against me or who I slammed...fades away.[8D]

I have always been this big...my birthday was June, July, and August.
Let's lock something down. I will be in Colorado until next Tuesday. Afterwards, good to go.
I think I'm ready to meet some of you[:D]
I do have the gluten problem though[:(]
Inteller I definitely want to HUG! I'm sure he needs one, LOL
