Title: Need professional car detail work done
Post by: Hawkins on November 19, 2008, 01:49:54 PM
I've got an '05 White Subaru Legacy. The paint looks terrible, I can't wax out the dirt by hand.

I need a professional wax job on this thing to save the paint.

Anybody have a reccomendation for a detail shop that does good work?

I can't give a recommendation, but i can recommend an avoid.  Executive Auto detailing.  It is one of those mobile detailers.  He was very over priced, and I wasn't impressed.  There was wax residue on all the plastic on the car.  So when it dried..now my door handles and quarter panel trim are that white pasty look.  There was wax left in the crevices where the door closes, where the truck bed meets the cab.
When we paid 200+ for a detail...you expect a little more.  Especially when the truck is black.

sounds like you need to have your car clayed, then polished with a ROB.  I've actually heard (though never tried) that you can go to the various dealerships and schedule a time with the guy that does the showroom cars.  If you know any buddies who work at a dealership see if they can hook you up.
