Title: Halloween Haunted Houses
Post by: sauerkraut on October 20, 2008, 02:49:54 PM
Hey Gang~ I never been to one of those Halloween Haunted Houses, but we have alot of them here and I was wondering if they are worth the price- or are they just a bunch of flashing lights and guys in costumes jumping around and smoke machines and sounds of chain saws recorded on tape.. There is one here that is called "Haunted Hollow" in a real 3-story house with a barn and a haunted forest & pumpkin patch in back but it costs a pretty penny, another house called "The Shadow's Edge" is $10.00 per person.. There is also a Limo service that for $45.00 per person will take you around to all the near-by haunted houses price includes the house cost. Are those places any good or a waste of money? Just for giggles I was thinking on going to one with my girlfriend this weekend- Thanks..

There is one big Haunted House in  this area called "Carnival Of Horrors" with clowns that have gone mad, and about other horrors in a circus big top theme. I guess some of the money is given away to a good cause. The cost is $15.00 per person.[B)]

My SO enjoys them, they're not all that fun for me, but not boring, so I go along to make her happy. How good it is depends entirely on the people running it and the actors. The two I've been to this year both had real chainsaws, just no chain. Not that chainsaws scare me, even when wandering through the woods in the middle of the night.

I paid $18 for Scream Country the other night. Other than the hour and a half wait in line for a 10-15 minute walk, it was pretty fun. They have good ribs out there.

Why!? Why are they turning precious deserted Wal*Marts into haunted houses!? These should be turned back into Wal*Marts where the savings are the only things that are scary.
