Looks like Owasso lost another restaurant. I don't really get this..folks say it was because the service was slow. But hello...have they been to the one on Pine...DAMN...now that is slow. I don't go for service...it is all about the taters & gravy.
How come they don't serve spinach?
I think service could have had something to do with it but their location sucked. Everyone goes to 96th Street to eat, not 86th.
I think it might be a larger problem for Popeye's, the one in Stillwater is closed and so is one in Lawrence. These are the only facts I know.
its the local franchisees around here that are sucking it up, not the national chain as a whole. Some problem is happening with cold stone creamery around here. i predict Qdoba is next.
What is wrong with Qdoba? I have not been yet. I know they are opening one in BA soon in front of the Wal-Mart at 71st and Aspen. I would guess that would would do well.
Aren't they opening a new Qdoba on 71st and Memorial...old BK building. I don't know if I agree with the 96th street location idea. I mean there are still alot of vital businesses on 86th. I am going to lean with the opinion it is more a corporate issue.
There is a lot of business on 86th but not as much restaurant business. It is not what people think of first. The economy does not help and Owasso's main problem now is having the lunch crowd to support restaurants. Most people from Owasso work in Tulsa. That does not bode well for lunch business. It will slowly get better though.
Looking forward to seeing how the new Olive Garden does. I am sure it will do well because it fills a niche in Owasso. It is a little more upscale and Italian.

Popeye's is some good eating now! I hope the rest of them will stay open!
You know what would be good here? Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles-that is truly some good eating.
I noticed yesterday that the Popeye's in the Woodland Hills Mall food court is closed also. Are all the Tulsa locations owned by the same franchisee?
Never fear Owasso...there is some DAMN fine chicken to be had at Larry's on 86th. They aren't open on the weekends...so you have to plan ahead...but there tater wedges are SO worth it!!!!

Where exactly is this going to be?

it's that sheridan's custard that lasted for like what, one summer? I never understood the custard craze....that **** is gross...
anyways, Qdoba is nothing to write home about. Chipotle's food tastes better (just don't get the chicken it is bad for you).
Qdoba is certainly nothing to write home about, I will agree but I also doubt it is going anywhere. It is my understanding that it is still the same owners from Atomic Burrito Days and they have held their locations for awhile.

Qdoba bought Atomic Burrito out because they didn't want to enter a market with competition. The owners then built Los Cabos. Same manager even.
Qdoba is okay if you like over-stuffed American interpretation of burritos. I just don't see how they are flowing enough cash to stay in business. The one on Yale and the one on 15th never seem terribly busy to me.
Freebird's just off campus corner (about two blocks north of Louie's in Norman kicks the crap out of Chipotle's, Moe's (they ran Moe's out) or Qdoba.
