Where are the open courses in and around Tulsa?  Last time I went by the Riverpark, it was closed off for construction.  Is it still closed?

According to this site (//%22http://www.lynxdgs.com/courselist.html%22) there are three, Haikey Creek, Hunter, and River Parks.

Chandler Park has one and Hunter Park around 91st sheridan. Only thing that remains open around riverside is the Rugby field.

It is nice to be able to say we almost have too many to list.

Here is a good start,
http://www.discgolfdirectory.com/oklahoma.php

Plus....
2 x 18 hole courses at Mohawk
9 hole next to the river (behind the apartments) just east of RiverFest West

There is supposedly an 18 hole course at the YMCA day camp there at I-44 and I-75 but it has peculiar hours.

Reed Park is good. We walk there a lot and see quite a few disc golf players on the course.

I wish I hadn't given my discs away, I might try playing again! I was really into it in the late 80s. We even had a women's league and played every Saturday. Good times.

Tulsa has a ton of disc golf courses for a town this size.

The best site (by far) is run by the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA).  You can take the link http://www.pdga.com/.

There is a link on the front page to a Discussion forum with PDGA Affiliate Clubs from all over the country.  Link http://discussion.pdga.com/msgboard/ubbthreads.php.

Of all the clubs, Tulsa has the most active membership (655 threads with 55,131 posts).  Link here (//%22http://discussion.pdga.com/msgboard/postlist.php?Cat=0&Board=Club983%22).

The disc golf course on the east bank will return once the trail work is done.

For beginners, the best places to start are:
1. Chandler park, by far the easiest course around Tulsa.
2. Riverside (old course, new shouldn't be too bad either once opened.)
3. McClure
4. Hunter
5. Haikey Creek

9 hole @ Reed Park is fun.
