Jimmy's Egg move to Brookside!
Old thread here with some discussion! Jamil's Steak House Moving to new location (//%22http://www.tulsanow.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=11178%22)
They're going to be located in the Westlake Hardware store? I've seen 'Space for Lease' etc. sign in the Westlake lot! Wonder where they're squeezing in the 'Egg'?

Jimmy's Egg , 3948 S. Peoria Ave., interior alteration, $300,000.

I think it's going inside the Westlake Hardware building. Some demo work etc is being performed on the southeast corner.
I noticed that yesterday...cutouts in the building for doors and windows. I thought they were maybe doing a garden center or something. Interesting it will be a restaurant.
Never been to Jimmy's Egg...is it good?
I've seen the construction also, I also have never eaten at Jimmy's Egg. I've seen the older site many times, but didn't have any idea about the food. Ace is just down the street from me, I will have to go in there and see what it's about.
I find it interesting that it is going in ACE.
They should do well there.....
Jimmy should keep his eggs to himself. It's just gross to advertise your huevos.
One of the worst breakfasts of my life was at Jimmy's. I wouldn't pay a nickel for their "food". Stick with Brookside By Day or the Palace Cafe.
Jimmy's in Brookside? No thanks.

Color me shallow, but the name sounds strange. Not gonna go eat at one of these lol. Wouldn't be rushing to eat at yet another new fast food chain regardless.

BBD is horrible at best....
Went there yesterday. Service was excellent, and seats were at a premium. Food was okay. Nothing to gush over.
Now if they would just get some wi-fi and patio seating . . .
I'm pretty sure if you translated the name into spanish, you could get some chuckles down south.
yawn. I didnt eat at the other one. dont see myself eating at this one. plus they screwed up the building w/ 2 different designs of facade treatment. next

Great!!! Another breakfast joint/restaurant that charges 5X for the same grub that you can cheaply make at home. I'll be there, NOT.

I assume you make your own clothes, cleaners and fuel as well?

No thanks. The thought of eggs cooked in kerosene doesn't sound too appetizing.
Blech. We ate there Saturday. It was gross. I've heard people comment how good their bread is. We got the "homemade raisin bread". It was bland and covered in margarine. Everything was covered in margarine come to think of it. The biscuit was dense with bland gravy. How do you make gravy bland?!
If you're hungry and in that area, try Blue Moon Bakery instead. They are now open for brunch on Sundays! My wife had Migas and I had a tasty bowl of red beans and rice (plus andouille) with a biscuit. Way good, and about the same price as Jimmy's Ball.
My father-in-law loves it, but I think it's about the scariest place I've ever eaten. Margarine is not supposed to be bright fluorescent yellow!
They cook everything in that stuff. Your plate has a pool of bright yellow space-shuttle lubricant in it when you're done eating.
I prefer First Watch. They always have fresh tasty stuff, and you can actually eat a big healthy breakfast without the need for angioplasty when you're done.
