Has anyone on the board studied French?
I am presently taking classes at TCC after studying Spanish at TU some 10 years ago. What I a finding is that I get everything mixed up! I still have a tendency to write Spanish words (and let's not talk about that silly verb, Etre)[8)]
I am pretty fluent in Spanish and figured another language would be great, BUT for some reason I'm having a hard time with this.
I had 2 years of French in high school and 3 years in college. Don't remember a bit of it lol. However, one of my college professors asked me one day if I had studied French. I said yes, and wondered why he would have asked that? Then he said... "I thought so, I notice in all your written work that you add extra "e"s to the end of your words." lol I used to be excellent at spelling, now I can't spell worth crap.
I've taken several French courses, from high school up until now (TU). I've had Intermediate I-II, Advanced French, Analysis of French Texts, Commercial & Business Law, African French Literature and African French Cinema.
What do you nee help with?
Bonjour! I'm so glad someone has taken French classes. I did my Spanish language classes at TU and then lived in Mexico for a year.
I'm having problems with negations. I get totally confused.
We're using the following:
ne..pas
ne...pas du tout
ne...pas encore
ne...plus
ne...jamais
What I keep forgetting to do is add the verb etre! Then I end up using "esta" instead of "est!"[B)]
