Title: Cornerstone Creek Retail Development
Post by: brad74 on September 15, 2008, 01:46:33 PM
My apologies if this has already been talked about.

Anybody know what's going in that Cornerstone Creek development on Memorial between 101st St. and 111th St?

Yeah, Lifetime Fitness closed on property to build a 200,000 SF fitness center.

Talk about weird. Who's lending on this dream? Well, looks like they sold a parcel for a hotel and a fitness center. But the other stuff is mere speculation. This site does not lend itself to strong demographics. Shoppers south of The Creek stay south. But those north of it will not south. Anyway, the developer at least admitted it was going to be tough.

Be careful to believe everything you hear.

Believe it when you see it....

but do not believe everything you read:http://www.tulsaworld.com/business/article.aspx?articleID=20080924_32_E1_Corner261968

Maybe they'll get goodlock!

They are selling it based on "250,000 people within 10 minutes" and "average income in the immediate area exceeds $100,000"

Of course, the first number is true of 90% of Tulsa and the second is very subjective.

it is being told in the news that a "natural foods" store is one of the tenants.  If this is a Whole Foods I know a certain local development sshole who has a big helping of crow to eat.

I would bet Natural Farms over Whole Foods.
