Title: Obama's October Surprise
Post by: Friendly Bear on September 05, 2008, 02:21:18 PM
Word is the Obama's October Surprise against the McCain-Palin ticket will be huge sympathy vote for the late President Jimmy Carter.

His Cook County Democrat Political Machine has decided that the popular (with Democrats) former President will be euthanized on October 29.

Rosalyn hasn't been informed, yet.

Barack has a great sermon already written for the Presidential Eulogy.

They will forget to invite Senator McCain.

Sorry, bureaucratic snafu.

R.I.P.

Well, not that I believe it, but it wouldn't work. Carter was one of the worst Presidents ever.

Okay.

They move to Plan B:

They euthanize HILLARY Oct. 29.

That brings out her voters to cast a Remembrance Vote in her memory.

For Obama.

Bill will find a new legion of grieving bimbos to comfort him.

What you call a Win-Win.

No, he actually was THE worst ever, but he did teach us a lot about economics by demonstrating what happens when you raise taxes on small businesses.

He also taught us a great deal about energy independence.  We are still paying for his policies today.

He is on a pedestal that I don't think anyone can touch for a while unless we choose someone who wants to follow the same "just wear a sweater", or "just air up your tires" policies.

But we're not that stupid.

A significant percentage of the voters don't even remember the Carter Administration. They were born or became adults on or after 1980.

QuoteRepublicans bracing for 'October surprise' as Gloria Allred 'prepares for Romney revelation'

By Daily Mail Reporter
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2220526/Republicans-bracing-October-surprise-Gloria-Allred-prepares-Romney-revelation.html
Republicans are bracing themselves for Gloria Allred to make a potentially damaging revelation about Mitt Romney, just weeks before the election.

The pro-President Obama lawyer is rumoured to be preparing for her so-called 'October surprise' in which she will strike the Republican presidential hopeful's chances by unearthing some sort of secret or scandal.

Ms Allred has refused to comment on the rumours, which first surfaced in a tweet by the Drudge Report's Matt Drudge on Thursday.

'Here she comes. Hearing Gloria Allred out there again, about to make a move. After all, it's her time of the campaign. Team O at the ready!!' Mr Drudge wrote on Twitter.

According to RadarOnline.com, Ms Allred launched a last minute strike on GOP Meg Whitman's campaign for governor of California by representing a disgruntled former housekeeper.

In the pivotal moments of the campaign, the lawyer wheeled out Nicky Diaz who alleged that she was fired by the Whitman family because she was an illegal immigrant.

Whitman went on to lose the election to Democrat Jerry Brown.

Ms Allred refused to confirm or deny the rumors regarding Governor Romney.

You're a bubble head, but grasp onto this: United States, Iran agree to one-on-one nuclear talks : New York Times
                                           http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/10/20/us-usa-iran-nuclear-idUSBRE89J0GD20121020

(Reuters) - The United States and Iran have agreed for the first time to one-on-one negotiations on Iran's nuclear program, the New York Times reported on Saturday, citing Obama administration officials.

Iranian officials have insisted the talks not begin until after the November 6 U.S. election because they want to know which U.S. president they will be negotiating with, a senior administration official told the Times.

The Times said the agreement was the result of secret exchanges between American and Iranian officials that date almost to the beginning of President Barack Obama's term in 2009.

The White House declined to comment on the Times report when contacted by Reuters.

The United States and other Western powers have charged that Iran's nuclear program is aimed at developing nuclear weapons, but Tehran insists the program is for peaceful purposes. Israel has said it would use military force to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power.

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has attacked Obama for failing to curb Iran's nuclear ambitions. The two candidates will meet on Monday in their final debate, which will focus on foreign policy.

The U.S.-Iranian agreement had been reached with senior Iranian officials who report to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, an unnamed administration official told the Times.

I originally thought that the next 'debate' would be just as valuable cancelled as not.  May not be that way.  Obama's got a couple of positives to talk about - successfully unleashing the "hounds of he$$" * on Bin Laden, and getting us out of Iraq.

Mitt with Ryan at his back brings us the promise of yet another unnecessary war.  (This is ALL about inciting Armageddon in our time, since the radical religious extremists are trying so hard to "push" God's hand in this - since they obviously know the real meaning of scripture better than He does.)

This could almost be interesting.

** Meaning, of course, those Warrior Angels, like my nephew, that do that kind of work to try to protect us and keep all that carp over there instead of here.  And I appreciate that more than I can express to them.

Fascinating. This is a insightful and disturbing in depth article into Romney and his spirituality style leadership work with the LDS church.

Looks to me like his leadership in the LDS Church was more about dominance than compassion.

The article was the first to add "Romnesia" to our vocabulary. Written Oct. 10th...heh heh

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2222070/Donald-Trump-reveal-divorce-papers-Michelle-Barack-Obama--claims-respected-financial-pundit.html#ixzz2AAdbytYa

Tomorrow Donald Trump will release some private papers that intimate that in 2000 the Obamas were having some marital problems and Michelle was considering a divorce. Since then they have made their bond even stronger than it was before, they have had a second daughter and they have stood united as one of the most endearing examples of love and commitment this country has ever see.

There are times when people consider divorce. Instead, they stay together and work it out and are stronger and wiser for that experience. Can you relate?

The right is desperate. They know they are losing. They will do anything to take this Presidency away from the man who has always been destined to lead this country out of the devastation the right created.  Ignore this "stuff."

When will Trump quit using politics to advertise his brand?

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie endorses President Obama.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie Praises President Obama for Sandy Response

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/10/christie-praises-obama-for-sandy-response/ (http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/10/christie-praises-obama-for-sandy-response/)

QuoteOne of Mitt Romney's biggest supporters, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, had nothing but praise for President Barack Obama today, as his state prepares to rebuild from the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.

"I have to say, the administration, the president,  himself and FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate have been outstanding with us so far," Christie said on Good Morning America. "We have a great partnership with them."

Christie told ABC's George Stephanopoulos that Obama called him on Monday night around midnight to ask if there was anything else the federal government could do to help. Christie added that they worked together to move forward with a Major Disaster Declaration for New Jersey.

The Major Disaster Declaration provides funding for recovery efforts, including infrastructure projects, temporary housing, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property loss and assistance to individuals and businesses.

"He worked on that last night with me...offered any other assets that we needed to help," Christie said. "I want to thank the president personally for his personal attention to this."

Appearing on Fox News, Christie said the storm is bigger than the election.

"I have a job in New Jersey that is much bigger than presidential politics," Gov. Chris Christie said on the show Fox & Friends. "I couldn't care less about that."

OK, not for President but I'm to understand this is not the sort of thing Romney would do.  Federal aid is "immoral" per Governor Romney.

Gov. Christie: Obama deserves "great credit" for storm response

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505263_162-57542354/gov-christie-obama-deserves-great-credit-for-storm-response/ (http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-505263_162-57542354/gov-christie-obama-deserves-great-credit-for-storm-response/)

Quote(CBS News) New Jersey Governor Chris Christie spoke to "CBS This Morning" on Tuesday in the wake of Superstorm Sandy, which made landfall near Atlantic City, N.J. and wreaked havoc statewide.

"The state of New Jersey took it in the neck worse than any other state," Christie said of the storm's effects. "It's going to take us a while to dig out from under it, but we will dig out from under it," he added.

Christie called the level of cooperation between the local, state and federal governments "excellent" and praised President Obama's involvement. "I was on the phone for the third time yesterday, last night, with the president of the United States. He called me at midnight last night as he was seeing reports," he said before adding that President Obama accelerated the designation of New Jersey as a major disaster area "without the usual red tape."

"The cooperation has been great with FEMA here on the ground and the cooperation from the president of the United States has been outstanding. He deserves great credit," Christie added.

Coastal flooding trapped residents and damaged homes and businesses in southern New Jersey and flooding and power loss impacted the entire state. The city of Newark, was left entirely without power according to Christie, who said the storm was much worse than Hurricane Irene in 2011.

The governor hopes that winds will subside by Tuesday afternoon to allow him to assess the damage to the shore and northern part of the state by helicopter.

Christie also addressed the criticism he unleashed on Atlantic City mayor Lorenzo Langford on Monday, saying that he stood by his comments that the mayor jeopardized the lives of Atlantic City residents by sending mixed messages about evacuation.

According to Christie, "the mayor told folks they could shelter in city shelters as a last resort" even after the governor's office sent 75 New Jersey transit buses to take residents out of the city. "We knew this was a real potential problem and I always err on the side of saving lives," Christie explained. He added that both he and the mayor knew the storm was tracking to land "very close to Atlantic City with unprecedented power" and said, "I don't know why he did what he did."

While Christie remains upset about the mayor's actions, he said he is more concerned for the residents trapped in Atlantic City and hopes that the more than a dozen urban search and rescue teams across his state will help alleviate the situation there.
