Title: Tonight's game...every time Palin says "reform"...
Post by: RecycleMichael on September 03, 2008, 01:52:58 PM
...you have to drink a shot.

It is the image they want her to be. She will say how she is ready to "reform" Washington.

It seems odd that the republicans have to reform the White House when they have occupied it for eight years, but it is a subtle way to act like they plan "reform".

She probably won't mention that when she was Mayor she put the city in debt. The town was debt-free when she was elected, when she left to run for governor they were $23 million in debt.

Democrats are tax and spend, republicans are borrow and spend.

Which one is true reform?

Source?  If she hadn't pushed for improvements, Dimocrats would be saying she left Wasilla a total ****-dump.

You say this as if it's uncommon for municipalities to go in debt to fund improvements.  I do believe we are about to go $451mm in debt to fix our streets, yes?

I'm going to watch five episodes of Newhart afterwards.  I should be good and liquored-up by midnight.

I don't think I have enough liquor for her speech tonight. I might have to stop at the liquor store.

I have to say, this is must watch TV.

America, meet Caribou Barbie.

Cheers, everyone!

Her motto:

Kill 'em and Grill 'em (except Bears, of course!). Or Wear 'em.  No wearing Bear skins.

Or, scare 'em?  GOP'ers:  PRAY to the Teleprompter God.

"Democrats are tax and spend."

Sorry RM but not accurate.

You forget all the Democrats that voted for deep cuts in welfare and other social programs to give Clinton his balanced budget.

Democrats are budget and fund without borrowing.

Republicans borrow, borrow, borrow.  They've been a one trick pony ever since Reagan.

I'm sorry, RM, but my pain threshold probably isn't sufficient to sit through her speech, and if I tossed down shots on top of that, the threshold would undoubtedly be exceeded.

Does the party really think that substituting one woman for another will bring them votes?  On the Daily Show, Samantha B described herself as a proud "vagina-American" who'd definitely consider voting for the Republican ticket simply because it has a woman.  Sure, the sarcasm was laid on thick, but are the Republicans that cynical, or do they believe that women are that stupid?

Now, instead of shots, I might down chocolate chip cookies.  I'll probably end up hurling, but it wouldn't be the cookie's fault.
