The Tulsa World endorsed Cason Carter and Christie Breedlove in elections yesterday. Both lost. It seems that their record on endorsing winners is less than stellar.
Is it because they are picking the wrong ones or is it a backlash from the voters who purposely pick against their endorsement?
Perhaps it means they are irrelevant now.
I have heard that KFAQ made Carter out to be a "friend of the Tulsa World" and that KFAQ endorsed Stans.....i.
Perhaps KFAQ really does have a motivated (gets to the polls) listenership.?
On the other hand, in a primary runoff, you could round up 20 strangers and change the outcome of the election. To say KFAQ had an impact on a primary runoff isn't saying much.

Answer:
Yes, and Yes.
Many people have long realized that the
Lorton's World has an Agenda.
And, that Agenda may not be in their readers' best interests.
Until the
Lorton's World recently editorialized AGAINST the Martinson "Papa Bear" $1.8 billion Tulsa street tax proposal, the
Lorton's World NEVER met a Tax it didn't like.
When the final campaign fundraising report comes in AFTER yesterday's election, you'll see that Cason Carter was well-funded by the local, moneyed, ruling, Establishment.
So, for those with the faculties to decern, Follow the Money......
ALWAYS, Follow the Money.

KFAQ said this morning that Breedlove beat Seneca. You would think that somebody would proof their news copy.

What? Around 5,500 votes were cast in the Carter/Stan runoff.
This little election portrays the local repukes as split right down the middle. Fundamentalists versus the old yet tolerant arm of the Tulsa repukes.
But if the dems were smart, they'd find a good independent republican who would split that group of voters. Then we could rid ourselves of Sully and perhaps even Inhofe.

The two local State Senate run-off elections are Poster-Boys of political GERRYMANDERING.
Why?
In both run-offs, one Democrat run-off, and one Republican run-off election, the winner will WIN the General Election?
Why?
Because there is no Party-affiliated opponent running against them in the General Election in November.
Our local democracy in action....

I guess the idea of picking a strong democrat candidate to run against the "repukes" (gosh, that gets funnier every time you say that aox), or at least run a candidate in the district where Carter-Stan competed, never crossed that moronic mind of yours.
This satanic messenger could care less about state elections....just a suggestion on how to remove Sully before he gets too big a head.
Repiglicans. Sorry, don't like being compared to that aox guy.

But it was oh so hard to tell
And you knew that we would meet again
If your mem'ry serves you well"

Well, first Guido, you'd have to find a Democrat in those two districts. Then narrow it down to being a strong Democrat and one who could succeed in raising funds to run in some of the densest Republican precincts in town. Very likely gerrymandered to keep that from ever happening. Or just the nature of our little fruity republic as FB might say.
Run as a moderate Democrat in gated south Tulsa? The moderate republicans I know would never agree to that suicide pact.
Any SoTul libs like FOTARD would rather sit in their Southern Hills area home and complain all day about the ills of the Repugs instead of doing something like running for office to make a real change.
Good luck un-seating Sully. Tulsa is the seat of Dumbf*ckistan, remember?
